Guardian UK ^

Posted on 06/07/2013 8:21:46 AM PDT by Perdogg

The US has admitted using a secret system to mine the systems of the biggest technology companies to spy on millions of people's online activity, overshadowing attempts by Barack Obama to force China to abandon its cyber-espionage program.

As concern mounted over the sweeping nature of US surveillance, the director of national intelligence, James Clapper, confirmed revelations by the Guardian that the National Security Agency uses companies such as Google, Facebook and Apple to obtain information that includes the content of emails and online files.

The system was put in place originally to monitor "terrorists". However, to this administration, the word "terrorist" means a white male, probably a vet, and not a muslim terrorist, who is now instead called "a causer of workplace accidents".

Coupled with the acknowledgement that government has undertaken a program to monitor your telephone calls and obtained information that includes the content of your emails and your online files, of potentially millions of people in the US.

Ask Bush, this is all about the war on terror...You betcha..To protect ya'll.

This is like leaving all the doors and widows open to your home and inviting in dozens of total strangers off the streets to eat your food, use your medicine, water, electricity, steal your wallet.....Many of the strangers laying on your floors and couch hate you and want to kill you and rape your daughters...

But instead of securing your home, you instead decide to conduct surveillance on your own family, put cameras in every bedroom, bug the phones, hack their computers, read their mail and put listening devises in the bathrooms...

And then ya tell your family this is all to protect them from bad guys and terrorist.

And Obama doesn't have the honor to immediately step down?

This is leadership? This government is still calling the shots?

wowza...

“The irony seems to be that we learned of Chinese Cyber surveillance by secret surveillance of their secrets.”

Wouldn’t you like to be an invisible critter at the Obozo/Chicom meetings today?

To Obama and his handlers I have only one thing to say: you better repent and submit to the Lord of all creation.

As if we needed his admission. The entire government has become a monster with countless tentacles, all to control populations and individuals. If not now, when?

As I have always hoped and recognized: Anyone doing sensitive, proprietary work is a fool to allow the basic info regarding the project/program/technical aspects to be exposed in any way to Algore’s world wide web and has the good sense to block the possibility.

While the web is highly efficient for making lunch dates, having non-critical conversations, looking up stuff on Wikipedia, etc. it is just plain dumb to expose critical info on it.

There are probably a lot of paniced private meetings in snoop proof areas being held by top companies execs, now and this weekend, discussing your observation above.

Hopefully, they won’t summarize their findings and POAs on the internets.

Maxine Waters: ‘Obama Has Put In Place’ Secret Database With ‘Everything On Everyone’ (Video)

OK, you're putting in place a secret surveillance network.

Why would you share that with..... Mad Maxine?

I used to think Maxine Waters was an idiot, an affirmative action elected official.
Now I think her only failing is that she doesn’t subterfuge or lie like the others. Her beliefs are their beliefs - she just doesn’t have the tact and discretion to keep quiet about such things.

Clapper: We collect and store every byte of data because we don’t know what data we may eventually need. When we need to mine the data, we will get a warrant to look through it from a judge 100% in our pocket. Otherwise it will be unseen by all other government agencies and is 100% hacker proof. Trust us.

Do I have that about right?
