Cavuto Cuts Mic on 'Obnoxious' Liberal Guest Echoing White House Talking Points

Fox News host Neil Cavuto on Saturday cut the mic of the incredibly "offensive" and "obnoxious" liberal shill Julian Epstein for refusing to have a serious discussion about the current White House scandals and instead insisting on echoing Democrat talking points (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary): Neil Cavuto Cuts Mic on 'Obnoxious' Liberal Guest Echoing White House Talking Points

Cavuto asked his guest, “What part of Custer don’t you understand here, where you’re surrounded, and you see one incident after another that comes up, and it all it all comes back to the same basic issue: privacy’s invaded or potentially invaded, institutions of all sorts doing pretty much the same thing. There is a pattern.”

“If you want to conflate and combine all these issues and then make these general statements, you can do that,” Epstein said. “I just don’t think it’s a thoughtful way of approaching it.”

Cavuto interrupted his guest and shouted, “Why don’t you think about what I said, Julian? I’m asking you to think and connect all the – no, no, Julian, don’t play the politics game.”

“I don’t connect the dots,” argued Epstein.

This got Cavuto even angrier. “Julian, I’m telling you, drop the liberal thing and focus on the reality thing. You have one entity after another going after the American people. You have one system of government, one agency, one department after another essentially doing the same thing. You can call that conflating. I am telling you there is a pattern, and you’re just shrugging your shoulders. But I guarantee you, Julian, if it were George Bush doing it, you would rightly be all over it.”

“That’s wrong,” Epstein dishonestly said. “That’s actually incorrect because…look, you can’t conflate all of these issues. You have to speak about them separately because they’re very different. In the case of the IRS, I agree the targeting was wrong, but there was never any connection to the White House. Nobody’s proven that.”

At that moment, one of Cavuto’s other guests, Charlie Gasparino, said off-camera, “This guy would make a lousy reporter.”

As Epstein continued with the White House talking points, Cavuto interrupted again saying, “I’m not going to get anywhere arguing this point. Ben Stein, Julian, no, you are saying nothing. I’m sorry, Julian, you’re saying nothing and it’s offensive. Because Ben Stein, Julian, why don’t you talk facts? It’s annoying how obnoxious you can be on the reality.”

Epstein tried again to give the Democratic Party line, and Cavuto snapped, “I’m not going to play this game with you, Julian. You play the same damn game dismissing one institution.”

When Epstein continued to speak, Cavuto said, “Cut his mic. Guys, cut his mic, he’s going nowhere fast. Cut his mic.”

Cavuto then moved onto to Stein before once again saying, “Cut his damn mic!”

Which raises a question: Julian Epstein is a shill willing to say anything without any regard for its veracity to advance Democrats. As such, why would Cavuto have him on?

He’s a broken record of Democrat talking points – nothing more, nothing less. As a result, he adds absolutely nothing to the discussion - never has, never will.

His place is on MSNBC where he can repeat the White House line with all the other parrots.

Therefore, unless the folks on Fox like these kinds of fights on Saturday mornings, maybe they should think better of scheduling people such as Julian Epstein.

Certainly, there have to be many far more intellectually honest people on the left interested in having a meaningful discussion about the important issues facing the nation than this shameless shill.

Occasionally, not often, but now and then I actually feel a little sorry for Jehmu...Tobin and company beat her like a red-headed stepchild rented mule. She has to be one of the stupidest personalities on TV.

I’m with you 100%. I don’t have a TV so I don’t watch his show. But his radio program is sometimes like his TV show w/out video. I listen, but rarely.

That’s part of it, plus he’s a smart guy. I like Nigel Farage also, wish we could trade him for Obama.

I blame Cavuto, OReilly, Hannity, et al...Fox in general. They insist on booking spokespersons for the democrats and republicans to dominate their discussions, and then they act amazed that these spokespersons spout their party's talking points. I'd be more amazed that they didn't....one thing that makes me appreciate Kirsten Powers every now and then.

On most issues, I'd prefer subject area experts to be speaking and discussing. I think it would be more instructive than listening to political spokesmen tossing their points back and forth at each other.

Sorry folks!

I saw Cavuto somewhat out of line!

He invited Epstein on his show, fully knowledgeable of what the lib position was going to be, was unable to get in responsive counter-arguments in the cross talk, and as Epstein dug in as a super liberal a-hole, Cavuto cut him off!

I kind’a like a good back and forth - under somewhat controlled conditions. What I hate is total a-holes like Alan Colmes coming on a show who will totally prostitute anything that he might believe in, just to ensure that he gets his paycheck as the opposition.

Things must be getting so ominous for the libs that they’ve all been given orders to toughen up and concede nothing - even Kirsten Powers, usually the very picture of moderate and reasonable discussion, was obnoxiously left this afternoon on Fox, even standing up for Bradley Manning and his wholesale, reckless leaks of government secrets.......

A Liberal is a person too broad minded to take their own side in an argument.

Epstein’s on that weekend show with Cavuto all the time, and that’s about as PO’ed at him as I’ve seen Neil get.

I have always imagined that show is taped Friday afternoon/evening, and Cavuto had just finished with a day full of these Obastard sycophants so his tolerance of them was stretched pretty thin.
