Jesse Jackson Jr. lawyers link crime to disorder (not guilty by reason of insanity)

Lawyers for Jesse Jackson Jr., in asking a judge for a lenient sentence, are arguing that his lavish spending sprees — paid for by money looted from his campaign fund — were tied to his bipolar disorder.

The attorneys also are pleading for a shorter sentence by arguing that Jesse Jackson Jr. will “unlikely” be able to relate to a prison psychiatrist and as a consequence, his mental health may suffer.

“It is unlikely that Mr. Jackson will be able to establish a trusting relationship with a Bureau of Prisons psychiatrist quickly enough to maintain his progress toward improved mental health,” the lawyers said in newly revealed portions of their sentencing memo.

The Jacksons pled guilty in February to crimes related to stealing $750,000, most of it through the looting of their campaign funds, and in the case of Sandi Jackson, failing to pay income taxes on the money she stole.

Reid Weingarten, an attorney for Jesse Jackson, signaled in February, at a press conference following the guilty plea, that he would be arguing that Jesse Jackson’s mental illness was responsible for the lavish purchases — including a $43,350 gold-plated Rolex and sports and political memorabilia.

My race-baiting Chicago Democrat baby boy was out of his mind when he bought that Rolex, looted his campaign fund, and evaded taxes ... and his depression was caused by oppression ... due to repression and discrimination!

The curious thing...if the federal guys hadn’t gotten involved....the district would have continued year after year....reelecting this guy. For all we know....there’s forty bi-polar Congressmen sitting in the House today.

This psychopath is no more bipolar than I am. What a travesty. But then that's what shysters are for I guess.

Perhaps the U.S. should pull out of Chicago instead of Iraq....
Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago.
221 killed in Iraq, AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US. (Only criminals have guns.)

Here’s the Chicago chain of command:

·President: Barack Hussein Obama
·Senator: Dick Durbin
·House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr.

Governor: Pat Quinn
·House leader: Mike Madigan
·Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike)
·Mayor: Rahm Emanuel (don’t forget 4 decades of Daley’s)
·The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats.
·Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.
·Of course, they’re all blaming each other.
·Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!
·Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!
·State pension fund $96 Billion in debt, worst in country. Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!
·Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. Can’t blame Republicans; there aren’t any!
·This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he is going to ‘fix’Washington politics for us???
·George Ryan is no longer Governor, he is in the big house.
·Of course he was replaced by Rob Blajegovitch who is...that’s right, also in the big house.
·And Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. resigned a couple of months ago. That is because he is fighting to prevent being sent to...that’s right, the big house.
·The Land of Lincoln, where our governors make our license plates.

But you know what?

As long as they keep providing entitlements to the population of Chicago, nothing is going to change, except the state will go broke before the country does.

Within a few years doctors will have a genetic test available to see if you're really bipolar or just crooked.

Probably be a good idea to test EVERYONE who runs for political office ~ make it a constitutional requirement in fact.

He has the “disorder” of being a Democrat politician who was dumb enough to get caught (In Chicago no less!).

Fixed it for you.

well, since Jackson Jr. is black and a good Democrat, he is permitted to have an excuse for his illegal behavior.

Imagine if a Republican did what Jackson Jr. did, and his excuse was being bipolar/manic deoressive. The liberals would NOT let a Republican get away with such an excuse.

The lawyer might be right. Anyone who would pay $43,350 for a gold PLATED Rolex must be insane.

For that kind of scratch, I would demand solid gold.

I have no reason to believe that he won't be reelected sometime in the near future - mental instability is a plus for Dims - they leverage it to avoid punishment for their crimes.

Considering how the man has voted in the House of Representatives over his term of office, I have no doubt that the man is insane.

Didn’t we say a few years back: “Obamacare, you would have to be crazy to vote for it.”
