Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) is the big prize in the quest for more than 70 votes for immigration reform, but the Gang of Eight is split over whether he’s worth wooing. Watch the video here.

Cornyn told Republican colleagues at a meeting Wednesday that he would consider making changes to his amendment to bolster the border-security provisions of the Senate bill.

RE :”Why would any of us think this guy wouldn’t sell us out?

Bohners aids are saying he will stand firm on immigration,

Breaking: John Boehner won't back immigration bill without majority GOP support

Nothing to worry about with Bohner on the beat,. Man of steel nerves.

They’re all frauds. They claim to be Republican and act like Democrats as long as they old the office.

There is no longer an opposition party.

1) How can I get re-elected?

2) If I fail, how do I make a million a year as a lobbyist?

What you do is put on your favorite shirt. You bat your eyelashes. You smile great big. You tell folks some things they want to hear. You go populist.

You become mayor of some podunk town. You get yourself on a state commission. You shoot your mouth off and claim you’ve done the people’s work.

You run for governor. You serve at least half a term. Then you hope and pray a terrible candidate will come along that very few people would vote for, and they need you because nobody knows you and you can be just about anything you want to be, and folks will love you.

Of course you lose, because you can’t polish a road-apple, and just because folks thought you were nice, it didn’t mean they’d overlook the top spot on your ticket.

Then the top spot on your ticket leaves a spot on the carpet, he endorses your opponent, things fall flat, and you get trounced.

He then lets his staff and family trash you, and he says you’re not ready for prime time. Your fan-boys/girls get angry and rally around you. And then the next year you endorse him, and folks just love you for it. You tell them how Conservative he is, which everyone knows isn’t true. What the heck, it doesn’t matter. He returns to Washington for Six years. Your fans say you didn’t have anything to do with that. Then they claim every other candidate they like that was elected to office, you made it possible.

Then you don’t have to worry about waiting for four or eight years. You go ahead and connect with millions of people. You make populist appearances. You say many great things. Then you reveal some of your policies in radio and television interviews, and you miss the mark by a mile.

None the less, people love you so much by now, that it really doesn’t matter what you say anymore.

Now you can sit back and relax, because they’ll donate to your campaign fund, and the great part about that, is you never have to run. You tell them you’re thinking thinking thinking thinking, they keep donating donating donating..., someone on your team says something to the effect that if people would donate, it would really show the candidate how much you wanted them to run. And then two days later you make a statement that you weren’t going to run, but thanks.

And then you’d position yourself to do it all over again before the next general election campaign season.

Pretty cool...

That’s pretty much how you do it.

Forget the lobbying thing. You don’t need to do that. That’s been proven.

Vitter, Sessions, Inhofe and Boozman should get involved and in the bid to primary him and endorse his opponent. Any deep red republican should go in there and primary him. Cornyn got involved with Murkowski.

I would bet the Republican primary voters in Texas support the patriot 15 more than Cornyn. Enzi or Sessions or any of these guys who will win 60% of the vote in the midterms should go in there to stop this amnesty bill leaving the senate.

Beaten into submission? LOL, just as well. I don’t really want to argue about it, but it’s plain as the nose on our face isn’t it.

One guy took me to task last night, because Plain is so good on so many other things. So I responded with this.
