ATLANTA – If the example one Georgia insurance company offered is true of the others, coverage under the individual plans to be offered in October under federal health reform will be about 45 percent higher than what a middle-aged family of five could get today.

“I am very concerned that the full implementation of ObamaCare will drastically increase the price Georgians pay for health insurance,” said Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens.

To put this into a prospective that people would understand....the only way that rates could go less...is by decreasing the services that medical insurance would provide.

Whoever wrote the 2300-page bill made into law....knew absolutely nothing about how the business side of medicine works.

It’s about time that state officials wake up and smell the coffee. They will have no power after ObamaCare muscles its way to the state trough. Officials such as this one will try to do something about this federal power grab, while others will be content to grumble and cash their paychecks until their cushy retirement kicks in.

It aint called the Affordable Health care Act for nuffin.

If the Government touched it, it WILL be fudged up.

Pelosi and her crooked minions could not leave well enough alone , they had to dick around and screw up America’s health care.

No
Our Marxist dictator and his minions knew exactly what they were doing.
They want private insurance to become too expensive and pull out like Aetna leaving everyone stuck with obamacare which is Medicaid !
That is the plan

Hudgens has the power to reject rates he considers too high even though the federal government will operate Georgia’s online exchange where they’ll be sold in addition to private insurance agents.

So the federal exchange will be used in Ga... and the Ga ins commissioner has the power to reject...

Interesting times just get interestinger...

No
Deal said no to a state run exchanges which would have stuck GA
With the massive Medicaid costs .
Now the Feds are picking up the entire cost and the policies based the Feds own insurances mandates make the fed insurance too expensive

The article asserts that the commissioner has the power to reject rates he deems as too high.

Who knows what criteria he’ll use - probably has plenty to do with how much the NSA has on him...

How long before the libtards who love and brag on obamacare’s “free” health insurance wake up and realize they have been screwed, blued, and tattoed?

Oh, that’s right, they will just blame it on Bush and the republicans. Never mind.

It was never about health care.

It was always about control... of the peasants, and of the money that they spend on health care.

Government cares about nothing except money.

O’bastard care mandated so much ‘free stuff’ that the insurance cost will double.

That is how liberal math works. You see, only they know how to add tons of ‘free stuff’ to buy votes, and then get to blame conservatives when the prices double.

( Advertisement) “O’bastard promised you free stuff and he delivered big time! But now the evil conservatives insurance companies, with the help of their Republican controlled Congress are price gouging and trying to CHARGE you for the free stuff!

Don't let these corporate raiders get away with it. Go to Moron.org and sign up to fight for ‘middle class’ justice.”

Used to be insurance was to insure against going into
bankruptcy now it puts you in bankruptcy. My insurance
has been going up about $200 to $400 a year. Next year
my agent said it will probably double.

Obamas America, where wetbacks and muslim jehadist
have more rights than American citizens.

The idiot reporter at this rag is wrong .
The fact the states insurance commission allow Medicare managed care plans to exists in GA gives them an open door into ramming thru crazy rates on fed run programs .
These federal agreement like medicare or va open the door for all fed agreements to be allowed .
The idiot reporter is a hack .
On the bright side the Ga residences will
Not be stuck finding this massive disaster unlike poor AZ.
Brewer needs to be recalled for that move .
She just bankrupted AZ to help out the hospitals and
Medical supply companies .

45% in Georgia....85% in Ohio. Why one might even suspect that Osama Obama & Pals were LYING when they claimed $2500/yr savings. The plain fact is that Bella Pelosi was partially telling the truth and partially lying when she made her "we'll just have to pass it" comment.Yes,they had to pass it before we,the great unwashed, could know what was in it but the Rats KNEW ALL ALONG AND LIED ABOUT IT!
