That thud you hear is Obama's approval rating hitting the floor

All sorts of bad news in this CNN poll for Obama - a poll that has consistently shown the president's approval numbers better than almost any other pollster.

Obama's approval dropped 8 points in the last month. But some of the cross tabs should worry the White House:

President Barack Obama's approval rating dropped eight percentage points over the past month, to 45%, the president's lowest rating in more than a year and a half, according to a new national poll.

The poll indicates that for the first time in Obama's presidency, half of the public says they don't believe he is honest and trustworthy. And Americans are split on the controversial National Security Agency anti-terrorism program to record metadata on U.S. phone calls, but they support the NSA program that targets records of Internet usage by people in other countries. That doesn't mean they necessarily like what is going on: Just over six in 10 believe that government is so large and powerful that it threatens the rights and freedoms of ordinary Americans.

The president's approval rating stands at 45%, down from 53% in mid-May. And 54% say they disapprove of how Obama's handling his job, up nine points from last month. It's the first time in CNN polling since November 2011 that a majority of Americans have had a negative view of the president.

Fueling the president's drop is his standing with those under 30, down 17 points in a month. And more than 60% believe that the government is so big and powerful, it threatens our liberty.

Sorry but I’m not feeling too optimistic for the folloiwng reasons:

1. Obama is a thug who does not care. If he can’t ram his agenda thru Congress, he will impose it via regulation.

2. Obama is not up for re-election, so he does not care

3. Obama is on mission to “fundamentally transform America” so he really couldn’t give a crap what the approval polls show

4. There are still quite a large margin of idiots out there who support this guy, his party, and think he will save them from the eeeeeevil right-wingers.

There are too many stoopid people in this country. I fear we’ve passed the point of return

Poor Barry. All those ‘controversies’ and ‘kerfuffles’ about which he knows nothing and exercises no control over, are hurting his status as America’s BFF.

Counldn’t happen to a nicer guy...

He has really kneecapped himself with the Under 30’s over this NSA business. They tend to hold extreme Libertarian views over what they are doing online 24/7.

So how will Obama win them back? Sign Rand Paul’s bill to neuter the NSA and propose Student Loan Forgiveness, methinks.

2013 Fall elections are still important.

They are mostly on the state and local level but they help control the 2014 mid term election.

Obama: “All I do is win”

President Barack Obama hosted the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday evening. Typically, the dinner is supposed to be fun and lighthearted, bringing together famous faces for a good time. So, of course, Obama had a few zingers up his sleeve to give his audience some laughs.
Obama isn’t shy to admit that he’s a hip-hop enthusiast. At last year’s dinner, he mentioned his first term consisting of singing Al Green, and his second term will be all Young Jeezy. Well, it wasn’t the Snowman, but Obama instead walked onstage to the entrance music of DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win.”

President Obama’s New Intro Music is “All I Do Is Win” at White House Correspondents’ Dinner /

With opponents like Grahamnesty, McCain, Rubio, Reid, McConnell,Ryan and Bohner how can Obama lose? They all shoot blanks to make noise, JUST noise! Obama has NO opposing party.

That’s OK, many in GOP are plotting to give Obama a major legacy item :immigration reform.

The sames ones get on the Sunday shows and make believe they are critical of him, just noise.

It’s hard to see how he can fall below 35% under ANY circumstances. That’s his Chavez constituency...the free cell phone crowd.

how low can he go? Who cares right now. He is the president for the next three and a half years. And nothing is going to change that. So Obama could care less what his approval ratings are.
What is a problem is Congress’s approval ratings. They are worse the Zero’s.as long as that is the case. Nothing is going to happen to Obama.

How low indeed? Things move slowly, so there's more settling to come, even if nothing else happens.

However, there are more things waiting for their time in the light that are sure to have their way with his shrinking...ah, hubris.

OBayMe doesn’t care as he and his Queen head off on their $60-100 million trek to Afreeka on the US taxpayers while our troops can’t get hot meals. Meanwhile, We The People can send RATs and RINOs packing in 2014.

With an electorate at D+6, the only way he drops below 40% is if he switches to the GOP.

That will depend on the number of blacks included in the polling sample. If 40% of the people polled are black, his approval rating will never be less than 40%.
