Italian Supreme Court rules Meredith Kercher murder was a sex game gone wrong and order Amanda Knox back for trial

Italy's high court today faulted the acquittal of Amanda Knox by the appeals court for the murder of her roommate, ruling that it WAS a 'sex game gone wrong' and ordered her back for trial.

The Supreme Court said the ruling was full of 'deficiencies, contradictions and illogical' conclusions and ordered the new appeals court to look at all the evidence to determine whether Knox helped kill the teen.

So she’d be wise, from now on,to avoid international travel for fear that the country she enters honors the international arrest warrant that Italy issues.

There is something seriously wrong with Italians who stayed in the old country. Americans of Italian descent seem perfectly OK, but descendents of those who remained behind appear to be largely mentally ill and delusional.

And I’m serious about this.

I don’t know what to believe about this story and I don’t think that Italian authorities have a clue either.

You are right. But that goes for most current Europeans also.

To allow her to be extradited would violate her rights under the Fifth Amendment.

I’d think a book by a good unbiased investigative journalist actually examining the evidence would be interesting.

Everything I’ve seen to date is by somebody promoting one side or the other of the story.

Italy has revealed itself as an anti-American dump with a truly perverse system of so-called law. To bad, loved Milan when I visited. Won’t happen again.

PS Do I know if Knox is guilty or innocent? Nope, but I know “justice” there is even more than a joke than here.

An illegal immigrant and known burglar rapes and murders a woman he encounters when breaking into a house, a simple, well-known kind of crime...

Or two college students with no criminal history pick up an illegal immigrant who is a stranger to them, and take him home for an orgy, and murder the roommate who doesn’t want to play...

It’s Italy, maybe that’s why the rococo explanation makes more sense to them.

An illegal immigrant who has been convicted of the murder to boot.

Hmm, close call there, eh? Both scenarios sound equally likely. NOT!

“And THESE are the descendants of the Romans!”

And then we also see what the descendents of the ancient Greeks, Egyptians, and Persians have become. Only the Chinese have come through the eons intact as a vital people.

More likely descendents of Visigoths.

Three different courts have come to three different conclusions in this case. Could there be any clearer case of reasonable doubt? Thank God we have the Constitution.

Basically, the Eyetalian judicial system just LOVES w@nking off on this case.

It gets more lurid and detailed each time it goes to trial!!

I’m sure they are writing a soap opera or movie based on the transcripts.

This particular story is very informative to those who plan to travel in Italy for business or vacation, or who might plan to send one of their kids abroad for education.

There are other, better, safer places to go.

If I remember correctly, Amanda Knox is ensconced here at home in the Seattle area. Given the ruling today, I don’t think she will ever leave the US again. EVER.

Apparently, the US will not allow her to be extradited because she was found innocent the first time around and the US doesn’t allow double jeopardy.

She’d be wise not to travel out of the US though.

No, I am not kidding. In the U.S. a jury would return a not guilty verdict because the state can't prove this case beyond a reasonable doubt. The burden of proof isn't what some judge thinks might have happened based on his or her reading of the evidence. The burden of proof is guilt beyond a reasonable doubt as found by 12 unanimous jurors.

It's a Lizzie Borden case. Do I think she did it? Yes. Could I say that beyond a reasonable doubt? No.
