People in TN like to think of themselves as “broad-minded”. That’s why they stick with Alexander and Corker.
She’s there In the hometown of James Knox Polk to teach Tennesseeans to be “good people”. But will they learn the lesson?
Chalk it up to Nashville, the Hollyweird of Tennessee.
Nothing new here.
The Nazis used to have a lot of professors like this.
“I would *love* to be a student in that misguided fools class.”
Some brain factories offer a special deal for students over age 65. A few retired Freepers in class would put an end to this kind of nonsense.
You almost hit the nail. I’m a native Tennessean and I was never happy in TN. The people do not think of themselves as “broad-minded”, they know they are hillbillies and they are scared to death that the “elites” of the world will find out. So they pretend to be “oh so cultured”. They always hated the reputation that Nashville had as the mecca of country music. They despised the Grand Ole Opry and would not be caught dead there, but they secretly listened to it behind closed doors. The nutty things they are doing now are to say to the world, “see, we’re not backwoods knuckle draggers. We are tolerant and politically correct.
Funny, I was the rebel who thought nothing of what people thought. Brought home all the riff raff (Mom called them) as my friends. I tried to tell her that they needed friends too. I grew to hate the phoniness of the people in my birth state. But where I spent my teen years in Ala. the people were red necks and proud of it. I loved them.
Me, too.
You get some really high quality teachers at this level of education. Seriously, she sounds like a crazy person.
There is truth in what you say. I actually got an undergrad psychology degree. I was no good at math or chemistry or biology, so I kind of slouched over to psychology. I got the degree and said, "Now what?" I looked at the masters program and it had too much math and statistics in it...so I gave up and went after the only thing I was good at....art and graphic design. I got another degree in that subject and have done well with it.
You are right. See my previous post on this thread. I got a Psych degree back in the 80s. It is a useless collection of man's theories based on feelings, hunches, and cultural/political trends.
Educated in her own mind?
College, once a place to learnt to think, now just a communist institution of groupthink liberals.
It is a fraudulent field, a fraudulent study, a fraudulent science.
I’m just waiting on Jesus!
