Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said late Tuesday that he supports securing the United States border with Mexico with a double-tiered fence but voted against an amendment to the Gang of Eight immigration bill that would have required exactly that.
Rubio and his fellow Gang of Eight Republicans helped the Democrats kill an amendment from Sen. John Thune (R-SD) that would have required the double-tiered fence be built, as current law requires, before amnesty was granted to Americas at least 11 million illegal immigrants. The only other Republican to vote against the amendment was Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).
I support Senator Thunes efforts to require completion of double layered border fencing, Rubio said in a statement after voting against the amendment. Properly deployed, these fences have proven highly effective in limiting illegal crossings. That is why the current bill requires $1.5 billion be spent specifically on a border fence plan."
"However, his amendment does not detail a specific border plan," Rubio claimed. "Therefore, I opposed his amendment and instead continue to work with my Republican colleagues to arrive at a new measure that improves on the significant border security measures already in the bill.

And let us not forget all the Freepers who argued with many of us as to why we couldn’t build a fence and embraced Perry’s virtual BS.
Surely they support this decision today.
Be prepared for the RNC to push a Rubio/Christie ticket. They have decided the best course is to become dimocratic light, but the result will be the GOP will become extinct.
Rubio is on the same side of the fence as La Raza.
I don’t take kindly to being lied to.
I think you’ve got it exactly. He has learned to slice and dice the word away from it’s most common definition. At least we see this now, vs at the next Rep. Convention in 2016.
He ought to just change his name to represent the senaturds he emulates.

“However, his amendment does not detail a specific border plan,” Rubio claimed. “Therefore, I opposed his amendment and instead continue to work with my Republican colleagues.”
Here is the border plan in a nut shell. Figure the southern border is 700 miles long or 1200 kilometers. At approximately 2 million a kilometer (that’s how much Israel spend on their fence) that comes out to approximately 23 billion.
It will take approximately 3 years to construct. So we can figure a couple of things. 1) Get rid of agricultural subsidies that the Rats are proposing pays the entire bill in one shot. 2) It is 2.5% of the stimulus. Probably easy to find in waste alone.
Senator Rubio. There is your plan. Want to offer Amnesty, well here it is. Have the illegals build the fence.
Try this on for size.
Rubio will get this passed, switch to DemonRat before 2016, and challenge Hitlary for the DemonRat Nomination. ChrispyChristie will switch and take the VP Slot from either one.
Sometimes I hate my crystal ball.

My wife and daughter just finished watching “Pretty Little Liars”... why do I think Marco Rubio is pushing for a guest appearance?
Rubio must be modeling himself after former rival Crist, who is expecting to reclaim the governorship in 2014. Or maybe he’s Jebbie’s wife long lost cousin.

Rubio drank Shmuck Chumers kool aid and became the Repub stalking horse for the wetback lobby. Chuck destroyed Marco’s career as a Repub and furthered his goal of bringing in millions of new RAT voters.
mariquita? I’m going for the 8 pussies. I pride myself in not knowing spanish too well. :)
Marco La Raza Rubio is Hispanic Ku Klux Klan Racist....anyone still pandering to this Anti-American stooge is not a conservative...not much of an American, either
If that happens I hope the Tea Party will organize to take over the opposition.
