Everyone of a ship would have known if missiles were fired that night. You don’t have to be on deck to know that. A typical destroyer has a crew of 300+. If there were a flotilla of ships involved in the exercise we’re talking close to a thousand. Word would have spread through out the ships what had happened. Since we the movie has not been released we have no way of knowing who these people are that are talking. We’re they key players? And what exactly they said.

Okay. I did not know that. What group was it and was it actually feasible?

..just sharing the exact timing of things, as witnessed and shared on Freerepublic.com as they occurred..
Off the top of my head, an Iranian-backed group was awarded a prize for their service in the TWA 800 disaster. You could Google and try to find the name of the group.
And the TWA fuel tank blew up........
Sailors on an aircraft carrier know when the jets takeoff from the deck. BUT, they don’t know where the Jets are going.
The target was not withing VISIBLE range. The crews on the ships would not know WHAT the missiles hit. Those who would know, were sworn to secrecy before this even happened. You can be sure that the top execs were on the hotline to the White House asking what to do the instant they knew what happened.
The ships in this ‘exercise’ were firing various missiles for several days. Who among the ‘crew’ would even notice another one being fired and make the association to the airliner crash ? They wouldn’t even know about the crash until much, much later as communications to the ‘outside world’ during these ‘exercises’ is very limited and mostly prohibited under the strictest of penalties.
I contend it was an accident and they covered up the fact some idiot fired the missle in a test or something.

I do think that they took advantage of it as an EXCUSE to stop the testimony.
If it was terrorists firing a shoulder launched missile, it would have been tracked on the various telemetry on Hundreds of Ships involved in the exercise. It would be difficult to convince the Navies of multiple nations to keep that under their hat. But keeping quiet about ONE OF THEIR OWN MISSILES locking onto the wrong target and destroying a civilian Jetliner would be in their own best interests.
Unless something gets revealed soon, with the airing of this movie, such as someone ‘in the know’ telling the truth, None of us knows for sure.
The crewmen firing the missile would have known what they hit. You don’t fire a missile and not monitor where it goes. That’s the whole point of a missile exercise. No I can not be sure ‘top execs’ were on the hotline with the white house. The missile crews would have alerted the Captain, who would have alerted his immediate superior, who would have alerted his immediate superior, etc., probably until it reached the Sec of Defense and the Joint Chiefs...then the White House would be notified. Way too many people...and not one person makes an anonymous leak to the press. I don’t think so.
So the guvmnt says... I remember quite a few articles from back then that sort-of, half-way doubted “wake turbulence” from a plane that took-off or landed more than 5 minutes before.
And don’t forget that Bush never got rid of the Clinton-era bureaucrats and appointees, who did the investigation/report...
Then how did we get a Muslim for a President ?
Where are Obama’s real birth certificate (if he really had one) and his college grades ?
The NSA is spying on everyone, but no one in the US seemed to know about it. Even though the information is publicly available. Secrets are not as hard to keep as you think, especially when the MSM controls ‘what’ gets spread on air, and what doesn’t.
Like who really fired missiles at the ‘terrorists’ in that car.
