Daniel Musso of Brentwood was one of a group of people protesting the Mayors Against Illegal Guns rally. An anti-gun violence rally at the Statehouse plaza on Tuesday turned ugly when gun rights supporters turned out to protest the event and one pro-gun advocate had to be Tasered by Concord Police after resisting their efforts to detain him.
Daniel Musso, 52, of Brentwood attempted to interject commentary while John Cantin of Manchester was speaking about his efforts to influence U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, on the background check issue.
Musso, who was wearing a pro-Native American rights T-shirt, asked Cantin to take his glasses off and later, challenged Cantin's statements and statistics. Private security hired by the Mayors Against Illegal Guns group asked Musso to leave but he didn't budge. After a few minutes, Musso threw up his hands and left Cantin's side.
Later, police were led by the private security team to the Musso's location, interspersed with other gun rights advocates and began speaking with him. A scuffle broke out and three officers attempted to subdue Musso.
The three officers eventually pinned Musso up against the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce information booth in the plaza and repeatedly warned him to stop resisting while he denied he was resisting. An officer kneed Musso and he was then Tasered by another officer and brought to the ground before being taken into custody.
Musso was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and two counts of simple assault, allegedly against a person who was attending the rally and a police officer. He was held on $5,000 cash bail, and will be on arraigned June 19.

Can’t say that I wasn’t thinking it would have been nice if fifty of this guy’s fellow protesters would have faced off those officers and told them to go F themselves.
He may have been belligerent. I don’t know. It’s hard to know when you’re not there.
It just seems these officers are as testy or more-so than the people they’re trying to talk down.

Not sure they didn’t single him out. He was a bit vociferous but, not sure how to call this one.
Can’t tell if anyone is issuing commands to the man so he understands he is being arrested or what.
I was shocked at how good-natured the guy appeared.
It’s been explained to me that tasers are to be used for compliance. If you don’t comply, you’ll be killed.
Wait what’s important is the anti-gun group had a private security team...these hypocrits want to disarm law abiding citizens while they have private security for protection.
Bloomberg and his fellow leftists are on tour now to spread their anti freedom ideas. Apparently New Hampshire was one of their first planned stops. They may have forgotten that except for the college students, their professors, and some retirees from New York and Massachusetts most New Hampshire residents are comfortable with firearms and believe in the importance of the 2nd Amendment.
Many New Hampshire residents make their livings making and selling guns at Ruger, or Sig Sauer. They have little time for the leftist ideas and tactics on display in Concord.
The, albeit weak, knee strike is another issue. I personally would consider that an outside of policy tactic for a non-assaultive person.
Trying to arrest somebody that doesn't want to come peacefully is a difficult prospect, but there are a number of physical techniques which could have been applied before the knee strike.
They cops look untrained to me.
I mean one is behind him and the other is using both hands to grab a wrist?

Maine, like New Hampshire, is a pro-second amendment state, especially in the rural areas, which is most of the state.

It can, and it is.
Maine is mostly rural, and there is a great deal of poverty in these rural areas. Poor people, like their big city counterparts, like big government programs, so they vote for the party that promises the most goodies, i.e., the democrat party.
These same people, in Maine anyway, have a long tradition of hunting and fishing. Maine has always had a strong second amendment tradition partly because of the ingrained hunting traditions and partly because people here just plain like firearms of all kinds, and not just for hunting.
Sure, we have our liberal moonbats, just like any other state, including the great state of Texas. The most heavily populated part of Maine is in and around the Portland area, which is loaded with moonbats. The people in other parts of the state call southern Maine “north Massachusetts.” Southern Maine skews the state’s voting patterns towards the dems.
We also have a conservative TEA Party guy as governor, Paul LePage. He drives the democrats nuts.
There was a bill in the Maine House last week which would have eliminated the need to get a permit to carry a concealed weapon. It failed by just one vote. A GOP woman voted no, because she said she wanted people to be required to take a safety course to conceal carry, and if there was no permit required then no safety course would have been required, either.
