This Wednesday, June 19, in Washington D.C. there will be an open forum
that will feature border security, anti-amnesty members of Congress.
The debate is slated for 9AM to 12PM and then again from 2PM to 5PM.
In between, members of Congress will join with an already-planned Tea Party rally against the Internal Revenue Services targeting of conservative organizations.
Glenn will be joining the event and speaking at noon.
There are 70 Republicans now in congress that we sent there, Glenn said.
Theyre standing up this week and theyre about to be slaughtered.
I think there will be five people in Washington this week on Wednesday because its, you know, its a Wednesday.
Its in the middle of the week.
Who does this?
Its costing me a fortune to be able to get the TV and everybody up there to be able to ‑‑to be able to just cover it, let alone speak up there.
Im flying a few of my pastors and my priests and my rabbi friends up with me for an announcement with the Black‑Robe Regiment.
Thats not something I want to do.
Last thing I want to do is get back on an airplane and travel up to Washington D.C.
and stand there and be a part of that.
There are many things I dont believe in anymore, and Washington is one of them.
And I despise that city now.
Because it has just become a symbol of corruption to me, a symbol of grotesque growth, where the rest of us are suffering in the rest of the country, he said.
But I will go and stand, and I ask you to do the same.
Glenn has not asked people to attend an event like this in Washington, D.C. since Restoring Honor on August 28, 2010.
Later in the show, Glenn explained why he thought it was so important to be in D.C. for this event:
Were not different.
Were not different than each other.
Were in different places.
Our country is at stake.
Were not enemies of each other.
Were actually winning.
The presidents poll numbers with the youth down in a month 17%. Why?
Dont trust anyone over 30.
They see through it.
They see.
Finally they see this guy is just as bad, if not worse than the last guy.
Everything he has said to us is a lie.
But time is running outbecause theyre also, the progressives on the Republicans and the democratic side,
if we would spend less time arguing with each other on whos better, the Republicans or the Democrats,
and we would start talking about the real issueswhich is not conservative and liberal, it is constitutionalist or progressive
maybe we wouldnt have had this problem.
Maybe we wouldnt have this problem because were not that far apart as people.
But we have been used.By the global corporations, by the media, by those in power, by those elites, by those who think they know better,
by those who look at the American people like cattle.
I am not a cow.
I am not a sheep.
I am not on your farm.
You are not my rancher.
You are not, definitely not my shepherd.
I do not answer to your voice.
I only answer to one voice.
The American people have been betrayed and have betrayed ourselves, through our apathy and through our willingness to give other people the responsibility.
Im sorry, but the responsibility, Ive been told a million times "you cant run faster than a man has strength."
Well, God, give me strength.
And when I see somebody else step up to the plate, I will so gladly go away.
When I see somebody else say Im going to do itand they have the opportunity to do it and the means to do it,
I will so gladly give it to them.
You can have my Fin company.
You can have it. I dont care!
Show up! I dont see anybody.
I thought of this last week.
Somebody said
about Martin Luther King.
And they said, what about Martin Luther Kings lifestyle?
Because Martin Luther King, he was dicey with women and everything else.
Yeah, he was.
That shows you how desperate God gets sometimes.
That shows you how weak we are sometimes.
Because I know all the good guys.
All the good guys were probably saying,I dont want all that trouble. I dont want to give all this up.
I dont want tono, cause [it's] too much, it will cause too much of a hassle,
it will cause this, it will cause that.
And so he gets down to the list and finally hes got to goto somebody whos a philanderer,
finally hes got to go a guy whos an alcoholic,
finally hes got to go to somebody who doesnt know their ass from their elbow, but theyll stand up!
Boy, you want to talk about making weak things strong, here we are, gang.
Dont tell me about how weve got to be positive.
I understand we have to be positive, with you we also have to be realists.
Hey, lets be positive. Lets make sure that everybody knows were all going to make it. No.
Were on the Titanic.
Not all of us are going to make it.
And unless you have some urgency, were all going to die.
Were all gonna die. Hows that one?
Play some music. Play some music once everybodys in the boats.
Play some music.
If you can play some music and help people get into the boats in a rational way, great.
Play some music.
But if youre playing some music just to make everybody, like, relax, everything is good,
its not good. The boats sinking.
Were all in this together.
Were all in this together. We really are.
And we will make it as long as we have each other.
As long as we dont tear each other apart.

It’s nothing that hasn’t been said by hundreds of others. Beck promised game changing news and didnt deliver.

Have you been listening to what about
Syria?
No, you haven't.
You sound like a troll, ridiculing and harassing conservatives.

An opinion piece by Beck and one shared by many other commentators. That’s not what he said he was going to reveal. It was supposed to be in the way of a game changer, something new. News, not opinion.
If you feel comfortable being taken in by a huckster that’s fine. Just don’t get pissed at me because I don’t buy Beck’s line of bullshit.

Rush just said Vince Flynn died last night at 47 years old.
Prayers for the family...

He promised his big announcement within 24 hours. Were still waiting. You got the announcement, maybe you just didn't like it. There were 70 congressmen that were going to come out in open opposition to the leadership over amnesty. It was hoped it would generate open rebellion to the leadership, yet to be determined.
I watch with interest the twerprataters on this forum continually browbeat Beck, when the man is putting together a conservative, clean communications network, to compete with the evil empire. Beck appears 4 hours a day on TV while we set in front of our computer wondering why he doesn't do more. Only in Amerika.
Millions hear Beck every day, and if it wasnt for me and a couple other regulars most of you wouldn't have anyone at all to hear what you have to say. By the way Rush makes a lot of money too, go trash him for a while.

Sometimes Glenns pants drop a little and I get a peek of his magic underwear and I remember that he is not exactly the same as the rest of us. Took you long enough, did you have the morning off?

Beck promised game changing news and didnt deliver. What have you delivered? You didnt see the importance of the seventy coming out against the leadership, so therefore it didnt happen. Got it.

70 congressmen coming out against the leadership isn’t game changing. Just a little rebellion by the backbenchers. Beck overhyped the news as he constantly does for ratings. If you can’t see that you’ve been drinking the koolaid.

Tea Party Rally May Have Drawn Bigger Crowd than Obama Speech in Berlin "Obama's Berlin crowd may also have been smaller
than the crowd of several thousand who turned out for the Tea Party Patriots' 'Audit the IRS' rally and for a rally against the immigration bill held at the Capitol on Wednesday.
One unofficial estimate put the crowd size at 7,000 to 10,000 at its peak.
Both rallies lasted several hours."
Beck proves, even on short notice, that he's more popular and more liked than the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF.

Slept in - thanks for your concern.
Why don’t you ask me why this would be of concern to me or would I still think that Glenn is worth supporting and whether turning up at his rally might be a good thing.
I will answer my own questions instead: last- first.
1) Yes I think taking a stand with another on issues you agree about is important so turning up at his rally would be a good thing.
2) Support for an individuals stance does not necessarily mean that people should not be aware that he may think slightly differently from a lot of people. Knowing this then may alleviate some disappointment when that person seems to go off what I or others may think is the straight and narrow path or when they say something wacky that doesn’t seem to fit with my or others understanding.
You seem to focus on the fact that I say he may be a bit different and for people to be watchful. Maybe you could focus on the first bit - i.e. “I agree with a lot of what Glenn says”
