Heckler subdued with stun gun at gun control rally

CONCORD, N.H. —Police used an electronic stun gun to subdue a Brentwood man Tuesday night at a gun control rally in Concord.

A News 9 camera was on the scene when officers took 52-year-old Daniel Musso to the ground shortly after he interrupted a speech in favor of expanded background checks for people purchasing guns. Reporter Adam Sexton watched the altercation unfold.

I guess things are different up in New Hampshire. I do agree the guy could have used better judgement. I just doubt that three cops needed to employ a taser to take control of the situation. Are you a NH cop?

Gene, I was also an eyewitness to all that occurred. Although I am a strong believer in holding police, here or anywhere, accountable for over-reactions, abuse of power, &/or brutality, I was relieved by & approved of their actions today. The counter protesters were revving up for violence, many brandishing their automatic, massacre style weapons, yelling out violent rhetoric. The police responded to a potentially disasterous situation. This guy ended up being the fall guy, because the violent energy calmed down after he was removed. But he was a 100% participant in creating a untenable situation that the police HAD to respond to. He was NOT a random victim.**

Technically, the guy was resisting arrest.
Once a cop says "You're under arrest!", it's not really negotiable.
This reflects badly on all of us.

That is always a possibility...like the guy with the AR at our capitol rally....no one seemed to recognize him from any local club...that was what the whisper in the crowd was.

I was wondering why he was standing next to the podium and not among the audience.
Intentional provocation is entirely possible.
Will be interesting if we ever get to know his real background.
