I would think that the air in any fuel tank would have about as much fuel vaporized into it as physically possible ... therefore, how could it ignite?

That is old school thinking. Eyewitnesses are only reliable for determining guilt or innocence in a court of law. According to our government, we cannot rely on witnesses.

Within a couple of days of TWA Flt. 800 going down Kallstrom was summoned to Washington. It was after his return from Washington that he got behind the exploding empty fuel tank theory to the exclusion of all other possible causes. Kallstrom got his marching orders from his handlers at FBI headquarters.
I never believed this was an “accident” this had to do with some kind of missile test gone wrong and it hit the plane..there were eyewitnesses who saw something flying towards the plane..but of course Slick Willy had to cover it up
