It's one of the more interesting what-ifs of the past few decades. What would have happened if both George W. and Jeb Bush had won their gubernatorial bids in 1994? Which brother would have run for President in 2000 against Al Gore? Late in George W. Bush's second presidential term, I asked his father this question. The senior Bush shrugged, waving off the hypothetical. "Who knows?" he replied. "Didn't happen." Then, after the briefest of pauses, the 41st President added, "If Jeb wants his shot, he should have it. He's done the work, been a governor--a very fine governor, I might add--and if he wants to go for it, I hope he does."
That hope, it is safe to say, endures. No one who knows George H.W. Bush seriously doubts that the former President would like to see Jeb mount a campaign for the White House. Barbara Bush has expressed skepticism. "There are other people out there that are very qualified, and we've had enough Bushes," she told NBC's Today show last April. Asked about 2016 on ABC's This Week last Sunday, Jeb said, "I think we've got a split ballot amongst the Bush senior family. Pretty sure that's the case."(continued)

Terry Schiavo
Jeb is unelectable due to Illegal Aliens, Terri Schiavo, and daughter Noelle....the latter the Dems will use if he is GOP pres nominee in 16
[We have to find someone who can articulate our views without sounding like an extremist.]
Yeah, but can Ted Cruz be POTUS?
Good grief! Another Ivy League Locust.
We have got to figure out how to put and end to that swarm so they’ll stop consuming our hard-earned livelihoods.
[Thats power. He has it just lying there so its hard to not use it.]
Which is exactly why he and his Tribe need to be de-powered.
ENOUGH.
One’s hope could be that the Clintons would be brought down as well.
(Though like you, I’m close to beyond hoping.)
After Terry Schivo, I’m not on the Jeb Bush bandwagon. It will be the same as with Romney. They’ll flood the primaries with a gazillion candidates to divide the conservative vote so that he’s one of the last ones standing.
“Sarah Palin because shes just an ordinary American”
Do you know why I did not play basketball in the NBA ?
It is because I am just an ordinary basketball player.
The question is “who do you want to be the president of the USA ?” Do you want an ordinary American or an extra ordinary American ?
TIME MAGAZINE!! Now we know who the LEFT wants to run against Hillary. Another Dole, McCain, Romney. Someone that cannot articulate conservative positions.
The founders never intended this Republic to be ruled by “extraordinary” professional cockroaches.
We could elect someone by picking straws and have better representation than the last few RINO-drawn Jackwagons have produced.
The left is gleeful at the prospect of another Bush. I, as a conservative, am NOT. No more Bush presidents. Enough already.
Oh yeah...”Immigrants are more fertile than American women”...that’s going to play well with the female electorate!
Conservative views, even articulated eloquently, ARE extremest to the GOP, today.
If the Republicans nominate a third Bush, we’ll have proven we’re an aristocracy, not a democracy. They’re saying that out of millions of Republicans, only those from a select few families could win.
But the Democrats are leaning that way, too, by salivating over another Hillary Clinton run and breathlessly waiting for Chelsea to run for something.
Yep.
Awwwwwwwwesome! Oh, and to make it even better, let’s add Megan McCain to the ticket! Yesssssss!!
Political dynasties are a threat to liberty, whether or not they come from the Democrats or Republicans. I won’t be voting for Jeb, either in the primary (not that it will matter) nor in the general if he is nominated.
