A registered sex offender, released from jail less than a month ago, has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of an 8-year-old Florida girl abducted while shopping with her mother on Friday night.
The body of Charish Perriwinkle was found in front of Highlands Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday morning after a frantic search. Donald James Smith of Jacksonville was taken into custody after police cornered his white van on Interstate 95. He had only been released from jail on May 31 after serving 438 days on felony charges of child abuse and unlawful impersonation of a public employee.ail on Facebook

Absolutely HORRIBLE..and this schmuck had recently been released from prison..had a long history of sex offenses..horrible for this poor child, she never stood a chance once he got his hands on her..how can a mother leave her child with a man she only knew for 1 hour..RIP little Charish Perriwinkle

What mother? A stupid, stupid, stupid mother who deserves to spend the rest of HER sorry life in prison. Her remaining children should be taken away from her--for their own protection from the Queen of Stupid.
Why even a trial? Release him in the town square and be done with it. And the “mother” should be sterilized for her stupidity.
What is even worse is that this wasn’t even an abduction, this mother gave her daughter to a man who she just met and he left the Walmart with her..the moment she allowed her child to go with this stranger this child was dead..This piece of sh*t was probably patrolling the area, trying to find someone lonely enough and down on their luck to hand over their kid to him..absolutely horrible, can’t even imagine what this child went through in her final hours, or final minutes.
He was just let out of prison, our prison system is so screwed up that they can allow someone who had a long history of raping children out of jail, he probably couldnt want to start where he left off
