I think Toomey may have been temporarily seduced with the idea of “reaching across the aisle” and thinking how really neat it would be to get his name attached to a major piece of legislation and maybe even get a cursory mention in U.S. history books. Well, he got smacked down for that big time. Maybe I’m being naive, but I’m really hoping Toomey’s “no” vote tonight is an indication that he’s learned his lesson. I’m willing to forgive him if he unwaiveringly goes back to casting reliable and principled conservative votes again. Believe me, we’re going to need EVERY Senate vote we can get if this nation is going to survive the next 3-1/2 years of the Marxist Dictator.

The only way he can regain a modicum of respect with me is that is disavows the gun control legislation that he worked to create with Chuckie Schumer. He needs to attack Schumer for the Marxist that Schumer is and then vow never to work on anything that is bipartisan (because that simply means going along with Democrats to some degree and relinquishing all conservative principles). Lastly he needs to propose new pro-2a legislation that includes the repeal of unconstitutional laws on the books and introducing uniform "free-passage" laws between and thru states. The latter is about the only law that seems remotely constitutional to me.
