The question is, since Barack Hussein Obama isn’t involved, would this still be “historical”?

I thought it was
de rigueur for 'Amurikans' to take your oath of allegiance on the Koran or dance naked around a flaming pile of rocks, sticks, and mud nowadays? My bad.

The unions backed him here and is a lefty. But, he’s a slight improvement over our former La raza, ex-gang member mayor.

Except he is Jewish and no Jew should swear on the Christian bible.
I was raised Lutheran but I have since ‘converted’ to the Noahide faith and, like the Jews,we share the Hebrew Scriptures.
Any oath I had to take will be on the Hebrew Bible. Doing so is not disrespectful to non-Jewish family members. A Jew can remember their grandparent without taking an oath on a Christian Bible. Doing so is a slap in the face to Torah,G-d Himself and the Jewish people.

Doesn’t the Bible include the Jewish Old Testament?

I am a convert too..a ‘more’ noahide-like faith too and I have but one thing to say:
Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One.
Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom for ever and ever.
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
Remember, Y’shuah was Jewish.

Yes but it is not the Jewish version (the official version) of the Jewish Scriptures. It is the incorrect translation of the Tanach and as such is not accepted by Jews.
Plus Jesus is mentioned in the Christian Bible (obviously)and Jews would be forbidden from taking any vow on a bible that includes Jesus and his name.

It does not matter that Jesus was Jewish. There’s no proof he even existed. Either way he is not important to Jews or to Noahides.

No Jew should swear an oath of office on any Bible - Jewish or Christian. It's against Jewish law and considered taking G-d's name in vain. Jews are supposed to affirm, not swear.
It's perfectly legal, and as a notary for years, I often administered affirmations instead of oaths.

Seriously?
The Jew you dismiss is perhaps the only reason Jews have survived to this day.

Asinine. The Bible’s New Testament is a canon of Chridstian books, The Old testament is an English translationm of the canon of the
Hebrew Bible, of which the Authorized Version is highly approved by Jewish scholars. What is the problem? Does he have to have a Torah scroll? Is his word no good apart from a Bible?

The Christian Bible contains both Old and New The "Old Testament" section of the Authorized Version is a well-approved faithful English translation of the Masoretic Hebrew Text of the Jewish canon.
