Gay lobby’s next target: Benefits in all 50 states [Societal Destruction Continues]
THE HILL ^ | 6/27/13 | Kevin Bogardus

Gay rights lobbyists plan to use their victory at the Supreme Court to push legislation that would ensure married same-sex couples are eligible for federal benefits in all 50 states.

Activists triumphed at the Supreme Court on Wednesday when the majority ruled the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), a Clinton-era law that had prevented gay couples from receiving federal benefits, is discriminatory and unconstitutional.

But the groups said their victory was incomplete because it’s not clear from the court ruling if married gay couples would lose their benefits if they move to one of the 37 states where gay marriage is illegal.

Spiritual awakening is needed most... If that doesn’t happen, any victory by pro-family forces will be short-lived.

That is going nowhere.

The gays I know are all rolling in the dough as they have CHOSEN not to have children. Why do they need to rob struggling families to pay “benefits” for these people?

We had two gay women living across the street from us a while back. Their biggest problem was what to do with their million dollar inheritance from their mother. They had no one to leave it to. All they did was sit around grousing in their mini Victorian mansion home, garden, and go on bike rides.

I believe they will get federal benefits in all 50 states, but it state benefits in all states. For example, in Virginia, they can put married on their federal income tax, but put single on their state income tax. In California, they will put married on both federal and state. Tax advisers are going to have to learn new laws.

I expect we’ll soon see very public attempts to force the Catholic church to perform homosexual marriages.

Will we also see attempts to force mosques in New York City or Boston to perform similar marriage ceremonies?

We all know the answer, and we all know why.

The greatest beneficiary of the successes of the homosexual agenda and the recent Supreme Court ruling may ultimately be Islam. Islam will not tolerate this sort of foolishness. Jihadis could reasonably conclude that all they need do is watch as the U.S.A. and Western Civilization commit suicide.

to push legislation that would ensure married same-sex couples are eligible for federal benefits in all 50 states.

That sentence is a non-sequitur.

More proof that today's "journalists" are people who could not get into beauty school.

As an employer, I would drop all family benefits rather than be compelled to provide “family” benefits to a pervert. At the first such demand (and they are demands, not requests), I would apologize and inform the entire staff that I had already decided to end all employee benefits to save on administrative costs, and that my contribution toward those benefits (plus the saved administrative costs) would be folded into future paychecks.

There is not much of a silver lining when we experiment with social rules that have never in the history of the world succeeded, but if this removes the entanglement between the religious sacrament of holy matrimony and the social constructs of employment law and civil law, that would reduce the damage. What gay man would bother with “marriage” if there was no money in it?

It is not about money for them.

It’s also pretending that gay relationships are as valid as real marriages, but once they have the legal recognition, there’s no reason to actually do it except for the money. I don’t think many will get “married” once we lose this battle, and I expect America to lose.

they don’t think like we do and we need understand that.

Willie Sutton didn’t say, “because that is where the money is,” when asked why he robbed banks. That quote was from a creative reporter. The real reason was, “because I enjoyed it.”
