George W. Bush to push immigration reform
Politico ^ | 7/5/13 3:21 PM EDT | HADAS GOLD

Former President George W. Bush is expected to make a speech next week on how immigration reform is good for the country, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Bush will speak after a citizenship ceremony at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas on Wednesday followed by a panel discussion titled “What Immigrants Contribute.”

Although it is not clear whether Bush will throw his support behind the immigration bill making its way through Congress, he has supported reform in the past. While he was president Congress defeated an immigration reform overhaul Bush supported and the Bush center has published several reports about the positive impact reform would have on the country.

But, of course. It’s the compassionate thing to do.

Makes sense.

After all, the name "Bush" is synonymous with "New World Order."

Why am I not surprised. Wish I could take back my one vote for him in 2000.

Exactly. At a certain level, there is no “left” or “right”, there’s only a global elite.

Real immigration reform WOULD be good. But not this sham of a Senate bill. No WAY.

But of course. His view on this is what turned me against him in the first place. Why ruin a perfect record?

disagree. We don't need reform. We need the laws already on the books to be enforced, we need the enablers of the invasion of the US being given fines and jail time, and we need to demand that invaders get out of the country on their own or never be allowed in the US again.

I think he should do what he has been doing and just shut the heck up. If he wanted to open his trap it should have been when the people were against Health Care reform. What a damn tool.

You think GWB is against Obamacare? His pharmaceutical program for seniors is a huge step toward federal medicine. Thank goodness it’s not mandatory....I have no urge to subsidize pharmaceutical drug jumkies.
