Former President George W. Bush is expected to make a speech next week on how immigration reform is good for the country, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Bush will speak after a citizenship ceremony at the George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas on Wednesday followed by a panel discussion titled What Immigrants Contribute.
Although it is not clear whether Bush will throw his support behind the immigration bill making its way through Congress, he has supported reform in the past. While he was president Congress defeated an immigration reform overhaul Bush supported and the Bush center has published several reports about the positive impact reform would have on the country.
I mean FUGB
That is what is so infuriating about this. When I think of all of the terrible, anti-democratic, illegal, corrupt things done by the Obama administration, and realize that ex-President Bush kept his mouth shut about all of them, and then realize that this is the issue on which he is willing to re-enter the public arena, it makes me understand that he is as bad as any globalist leftist.
Makes sense.
After all, the name “Bush” is synonymous with “New World Order.”
That’s right.
They must knock down the USA before they can implement their NWO.
The elites will live above the muck they’re bringing on.
I think GWB is a damn RINO. I was just saying he has kept his mouth shut over the most controversial of issues and now he decides we need his input. I don’t need to hear a word from this Democrat in Republican clothes. I am aware of all the damage he did in his last two years. Now I am seeing the damage he did in his first years also.
Wow. Just wow.
Well, looks like I’m going to lose some more conservative friends when I start ranting about this....
Bush has never been a die-hard believer in the Constitutional framework of the USA. The entire Bush family has wedded itself to be very close to Mexicans and Latinos. I would expect nothing less than the Bush’s support for relative changes in the USA society. Of course doing some house painting in Africa shows concerns for needs of don’t haves like the scorched homes in Arizona.
Bush won’t comment on Obama’s imperial dictatorship and lawbreaking, but he’ll come out of hiding to push this pile of crap onto the American people.
Yup, I can hear GWB practicing his speech now - - - - :
“Hi everybody - - - - ( No, that sounds like Obama.)”
“Read my lips, no more amnesty!” - - - - (No. that sounds like 41.)”
“We need to invest Billions to build a secure border in Florida. - - - (No, that would be what my other Brother Jeb would say.)”
“I speak Mexican, Rubio speaks Mexican, so what the heck? Illegal or not, “Tear that Mexican Border down! - - - - (What do you think Laura? Was that to Reaganesk?)”
What frosts me is that Bush was silent for the last four years while Zippy and his minions raped the country and the Constitution, and blamed Bush for every ill affecting the nation, but THIS is what he opens his mouth for?
Maybe all that talk about the Bushes, Clinton’s, etc. being part of the global elite is not so far fetched after all.
That would best apply to the Republicans.
The Democrats, on the other hand, are best described as a division of the Muslim Brotherhood.
True to form, by record. Is he now, still an Alamo style Texan- or, a noreastern carpetbagger???
We DO need Immigration Reform, the argument is what form this reform will take. If the Borders are not secured, first and foremost, anything else is irrelevant.
I fir one am ashamed of Mr. Bush for this Unconstitutional and LAWLESS stand. Obama has been single handedly destroying the country from within his entire presidency and Mr. Bush hasn’t said a word, not one in opposition and now he comes out in vocal support of awarding millions upon millions of illegal alien LAW BREAKERS who have broken the law to come here and who are continuing to break the law to stay here with blanket amnesty! He should be ashamed of himself, but he won’t be because he is a part of the ruling class elite and is taking this unconscionable stand in support of his dim wit brother Jeb or wrecked Rubio who the ruling class RINO Republicans want to shove down our collective throats the next election.
Huff.
Yes, because immigration reform was to be George Bush’s main push in his first term, like healthcare was to Obama. Bush was going to ram it down out throats. September 11th happened and Bush had to switch focus.
Reminding us why we really don’t miss him yet.
W, sit this one out.
Tell Jeb to listen to Mom.
Oh please. Let’s see what he DOES first.
So many people so anxious to condemn.
Look at what happened with Scott Walker this week. He speaks a SINGLE word about immigration and gets attention. So now he comes out today and says he doesn’t back the Senate plan.
Bush speaks at an immigration event and suddenly he is getting involved?
I know he wasn’t the strongest card in the deck on immigration, but why don’t we take a pause and see what HAPPENS first?
