ON A GOOD DAY
Our worth is tested every day. We are given the choice of being nice to people or uncharitable. We are given the choice of doing our work as well as we can or of goofing off. Some days it seems the tests are harder than on others, but every day brings with it some kind of test. Even the really good days! To have everything go wonderfully for us, to feel like a million dollars, to have one of those days when nothing and nobody can upset us, they are days when we might think we don't need God. And so we pay Him little attention. MISTAKE! BIG MISTAKE! We must never forget our good days are God's gifts to give us a breather, a taste of heaven. "Make no mistake about this," writes St. James, "Every genuine benefit comes from above, descending from the Father of the heavenly luminaries." Good days are made in heaven. Be sure to thank God for them. CDR Gary Simons, CHC, USN |

Same to you LUV. Just got home a few minutes ago. It was a slow night for me and tomorrow night will be the same.

Everything went OK, except for on park exit gate being stuck in the open position. I just turned it off and reported it for the week crew to fix. Very slow night.

Slow, on a holiday weekend? Do you have lots of people around, or are they all just very orderly?

One park was “handed over” to the 4th of July committee for the entire day. With the lake being over 50 feet low, almost all the boat ramps are closed.
Some parks had a number of visitors, but none in our area. There were a few unauthorized firework displays, but we were told to ignore them.

Glad things went well for you.
What a bummer that the boat ramps are closed....would cut down on boaters and boating issues, tho.
Good that your fireworks came off without incident.

"And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?" -from THE BIBLE: Mark 4:37-40
