Bush to GOP: Give Immigration a Chance
Yahoo News ^ | 7/7/2013 | Connor Simpson

Former President George W. Bush wants Republicans to consider immigration on its own merits, not just as a party saving piece of legislation, he said during an interview on ABC's This Week. "Sometimes, it takes time for some of these complex issues to evolve. And it looks like immigration, you know, has a chance to pass," Bush said.

4-1/2 years of hell and this is what he decides to talk about?

Best reply of the month.

It was Bush’s push for amnesty in 2006-2007 that set then Republicans on the path to defeat in the House, Senate, and White House in 2006-2008.

Who wanted to vote for Republicans who were stabbing the base in the back? Remember Lindsey Graham trying to “toss the bigots out” and Karl Rove saying that we “hate brown people”?

Stay on the ranch George - and keep your brother Jeb there with you.
You’re not wanted.

I know the man like the back of my hand. Guess I’m just still in denial. What are the next four stages, again?

Unbelievable, isn’t it? Apparently the Hispanics didn’t even support Reagan after he granted them amnesty years ago, yet today’s morons (McCain, Grahamnesty, Rubio, etc.) somehow think amnesty is the ticket to the Hispanic vote.

And as you state, it will do nothing but ensure democrat victories in every race. The Cloward-Piven model will cause our whole economy to collapse, just as they want.

It was George W. Bush’s push for amnesty that caused me to register as an Independent in 2007 after being a registered Republican for 30+ years. There are few Republicans I dislike more than Bush.

You give it a chance George, I have to work for a living and don’t need any more wage depression or competition from a bunch of half-assed “tradesman” illegals.

Stop killing the middle class!

“Why? Why not hold Mexico responsible for their own poverty. Pressure should be brought upon the Mexican government to start treating THEIR citizens like human beings. It’s not the job of the American taxpayers to care for them.”

Here, Here!

Let Mexico deal with a million restless young men agitating for change instead of allowing them to export their poverty here to be supported by our middle class.

It's only a complex issue for simpletons like you George. Now do us a favor and disappear.

We already gave an “amnesty/immigration” bill a chance, it didn’t work as described. I do believe it worked as intended. Why should we believe you this time? Proponets have been lying about securing the border, why believe them about anything? NO AMNESTY. JUST ENFORCE EXISTING LAW.

We will never be able to undo the damage caused by the last amnesty how much damage can we sustain by trying it again.

George, you dumb ass, we already have immigration. The people YOU are talking about are criminals and the policy you advocate is lawlessness. No thanks.

The Reverend Jesse Louis Jackson, Sr., used to chant: “Give Peace a Chance”. He also had another line that thrilled American liberals for a time: “Up with Hope, Down with Dope.” The American people could fall for anything; we know this because they have already done so.

The next thing you know GWB will endorse Perry’s Democrat opponent in 2014.

The problem we have in 2016 is that a sizeable number of Republican primary voters are yearning once more for another Bush. They are convinced that Jebbie will finally get it right. Our primary voters nearly always disappoint.

When you re-register Independent you cut off your nose to spite your face because it increases the clout of liberals in the Republican primaries. And our little primary voters are already dumb enough without conservatives leaving the ranks.

Also, people in TX Republican ranks appear to be yearning for another George Bush — George P. for Land Commissioner, who has little opposition at this stage.

Everyone who locks his doors at night knows why a well-maintained border fence is needed.

America can welcome the illegal immigrants we already have — if we can just STOP THE FLOOD of new illegals.

I think that, if a non-patriot should try to claim that the fence “...won’t keep any illegals out...”, then ask him why, if his claim is “true”, he is SOOOOoooo opposed to that fence.

Hmmm....?

What’s the Spanish word for “liar”
