Sarah Palin Considering Senate Run In 2014
NewsBusters ^ | July 9, 2013 | By Noel Sheppard

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin on Tuesday said that she is considering running for Senate in 2014.

Appearing on Sean Hannity’s radio program, Palin also reiterated that she would consider supporting a third party if Republicans don’t return to their conservative roots (video courtesy MoFoPolitics)

~~snip~~

“I’m glad you brought that up,” she continued, “because Senator Mark Begich (D-Ak.) has got to be replaced. He has not done what he has promised to do for the people of Alaska.”

For those wondering, Begich is up for re-election in 2014.

“If you think that whoever is running doesn’t have the ability to win, and you think you could, would that propel you into the race you think?” asked Hannity.

“Well, I think any American with a heart for service has to always have in the back of their mind that they would do anything, everything that they could to help the cause even if purpose if it’s something that doesn’t look necessarily appealing or necessarily fitting in with a conventional plan that they would try to orchestrate for themselves and their family,” Palin answered. “I along with anybody would have to say that I would do whatever I could to help. And if that was part of that help, then it would have to be considered.”

A poll conducted by Harper Polling in May found Palin leading other Republican primary contenders to face Begich in 2014.

I am in... $500.00 as soon as she announces... and I live thousands of miles away! Cruz and Palin in the Senate... mitch mcconnell with a bloody nose... mccain mumbling to himself as he walks through the halls and harry reid hanging upside down from a Senate ceiling fan... man what a dream!

She would be our Sarah working in the Senate... working with Cruz and Paul and others. Alaska will just have to share her.

If Obama could serve 2 years in the Senate and then run for President so can Sarah! And frankly, she’d be a MUCH better President!

She considered it for almost half of the 2012 election cycle.

If she considers it again, let’s hope she is a bit quicker to make up her mind.

I would love to see her in the Senate but I understand she is pretty unopular in Alaska so I would hate to see her run and see Begich reelected.

While I would love to see her in the Senate, they will nail her on leaving Governorship before term was up.

the voters of Alaska understand and appreciate why she left the governorship early better than anyone.

It won't be an issue.

I’m not sure this is a good idea since Conservatives in the senate have been corrupted by McCain and Schumer.

Ted Cruz has been corrupted?

I heard the 15 minute Hannity phone interview and I think Sean feels he got her to say she IS considering running for U.S. Senate. In fact, she has said nothing different than she has been saying all along. She HAS turned up the volume lately, however, and some folks are trying to put words in her mouth about her plans to run for office.

Yes, she is the wrong Palin to run for that Senate Seat... Todd Palin should run, think about it, it is deviously brilliant and out of the box.

Actually, if you review Todd's and Sarah's history together, this is something that could indeed be a real possibility and just might work.

Follow the Obama 2-year Senate stepping stone to higher office? Hard for Libs to complain (though we know they will).

She could begin her campaign for the nomination after 200 days in the Senate, just like BHO did.

Dittos from this corner.

But I wonder if the Murkowski RINO Machine can handle this without blowing a gasket.

Hannity does serve the RINO interests and I guess they would prefer to park her in a Senate race in Alaska in 2014
than have her touring the rest of the country taking out RINO’s in primaries.

But if she chooses to run, she has my support including $$$$.

I watched a pretty recent interview between Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin this afternoon.

Sean sound like he’s getting it.

Good. If she actually puts some skin in the game and stops sitting around sniping at other Republicans or fancying herself the leader of a third party, I might regain some of the respect I had for her when she was nominated for VP. I know she was upset by the outcome of that campaign and the attacks on her, but if you’re in politics, that’s life. Especially if you’re a conservative.

I would be thrilled if she regains her political legitimacy by running for office again!

Nice to have her in Washington DC where she could speak from the floor of the Senate rather tha Fox News.

Ping to Sarah's Awesome List!

Sarah mentions that if no one fills the void she might step in and the whole internet has a cow.

Wow, Go SARAH!!!
