Is Sarah Palin teasing us again?
CNN ^ | July 10, 2013 | Erin McPike

"If she runs, it's going to instantly become the most covered, the most scrutinized, the most hotly debated Senate race of the 2014 cycle," Geraghty said.

American Conservative Union chairman Al Cardenas said Republicans have a 50-50 chance of taking the majority back in the Senate in next year's midterm elections, and said it's an even more significant possibility if Palin runs for the Alaska seat.

"If she runs, all the odds are off the table," he said. "She would win a general election."

"The benefits of having her as a U.S. senator and helping us get back the majority so far outweigh any distractions that might be caused," Cardenas said.

Palin has until June 2, 2014, to file paperwork to run.

She might be very powerful in the Senate, but what about the Presidency?

“But what about the growing chorus of Republicans who say they would rather see her leave the party than create any new buzz?”

Funny, the article doesn’t quote any Republicans saying that at all. Just which ones, I wonder, would be singing that tune?

She’s so irrelevant they continue to comment about her, slobbering and frothing. Oh look! She left the Governorship of Alaska due to corruption charges! Sure. That’s why when her enemies searched 24,000 emails and couldn’t find so much as a swear word. They just keep the lies coming.

Obama was elected Senator in 2006 and we know what happened in 2008. I wonder if the media would get tongue tied over that one./sarc

I believe the politics here have become as morally bankrupt as the politicians. We probably spend enough money having some NSA goons pour over our comments on this thread to feed all the orphans in China and Africa combined.

Is that a drone I hear outside?

Gotta go!

Palin is not a player since she would buck the status quo.

Enough of our citizens must stand up and buck it or we are lost.

If you think Palin is “status quo” you are really taking advantage of those CO pot laws.

She adds star power.

Why do we need some kind of "star power?"

Sarah Palin’s a truly great woman; perhaps that’s why the liberal press go so far out of their way to trash and bad-mouth her.

Not yet. Senate is precisely the right next thing

If she does decide to challenge the sitting AK senator, it will be interesting to see how Alaskans respond, considering she resigned her governorship half-way through her term.

==

Many thought she played the ‘coy’ game too long in 2012 — will she or won’t she run for the GOP nomination?

If her delayed declination was intention, let us hope she makes her intentions known early into the 2016 presidential cycle. The GOP-conservatives need a ‘solid’ contender early enough to be a real challenge to the GOP-elite contender.

She did not have the juice to sustain her governorship.

What has changed in Alaska?

(I am a Sarah fan but can’t see or rather don’t see what has changed in Alaska)

She explicitly said she wanted to leave the party, and I saw were 12,000 Freepers screaming DO IT! DO IT!

It’s definitely the Conservative wing of the party that wants her to leave.

She did not have the juice to sustain her governorship.

She was essentially forced out.
