Early on didn’t they revoke his bail because they said he was playing fast and loose with some money raised for his defense or something of that sort? Maybe the IRS did stick their snoots into his bank account or the NSA into his mail. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

At the risk of being raked over the coals, this kind of nonsense goes on in courts everyday throughout America.

Maybe the average trial is not politically charged, I grant you that, but the prosecutors not caring if people are guilty or innocent etc happens all the time.

Anybody watch MASH reruns? Charles Emerson Winchester defended Clinger for treason or something, at the end when it was clear he lost the case, Charles pleaded with the Judges to think of his own reputation.

He said finding my client guilty will be a injustice (mind you a minor one he added) but the damage to my reputation will be huge.

This is what the justice system has come to. I can respect a defense attorney more for defending a guilty man (NOT SPEAKING OF GEORGE, BECAUSE HE IS 100% INNOCENT, but speaking of the average trial) more than I could respect a prosecutor of prosecuting a innocent man.

You have Conservative politicians running to be tough on crime, tying hands of a judge that may have been able to make a just ruling in various cases.

Speaking from personal experience, it is really not all that difficult to find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Trouble with that scenario is, if you pull a gun on a guy who is just walking through your neighborhood, then YOU have just become the bad guy and are basically committing armed assault on that person.

I know that if I were walking through a neighborhood and some guy pulled a gun on me and demanded I stop that I’d stop, I’d consider you to be an armed robber and I would use my own weapon to escape being assaulted by you.

Not that I think GZ was guilty, he obviously was assaulted by a thug, then took action to defend himself.
