WASHINGTON POST: OBAMA SHOWS ‘EXTRAORDINARY FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP’ ON SYRIA
The Blaze ^ | July 12, 2013 | Eddie Scarry

Posted on 07/13/2013 2:15:21 AM PDT by South40

The Obama administration has faced criticism from both the left and right for its non-interventionist approach regarding the civil war in Syria. The Washington Post, which in the past editorialized that President Obama was “weak” on the issue, upped the ante Friday.

From the Post:

IT HAS been a month since the White House informed journalists that President Obama had decided to supply Syrian rebels with light arms. Since then, the regime has launched a bloody new offensive in the city of Homs, using heavy artillery and rockets to attack residential areas held by the rebels. …

the WashPo editorial staff is ready to enlist en masse and lead the first wave into Syria in support of al Qaeda?

for once obama’s dithering is a positive thing

But he ought to come out and admit that Syria is a hellhole not of US making and none of the militias or the government there are worth a drop of American blood or treasure

Let the Russians sort it out .. along with the UN

aren’t they the ones thinking of putting Syria on the Human Rights Council, along with Assads buddies in Iran??

Obama's not a president---he's an investor.

Obama and his team emanate from Chicago criminal politics, where getting into govt is seen as an "investment" All govt payouts are calculated WRT "return on investment"......such as (1) the amt that goes to offshore accounts, (2) amt siphoned off to non-profits and foundations, and, (3) the amt returned as kickbacks from corrupt govts.

One can calculate Obama's "return on investment" by the dollars he "invests" in getting elected. In 2012 Obama bragged he was the first billion dollar candidate.

==================================================

EXHIBIT ONE Obama gave then-Egyptian President Morsi $250 million in March in addition to 200 Abrams tanks and 12 F-16s, with 8 more to be delivered by the end of the year. Pretty strong support for the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Morsi is a member.

FOX news reported Obama is NOT cutting off US aid to Egypt (even though US law denies aid to govts deposed via muilitary coup).

The Egyptian military is neither under civilian control nor primarily financed by the Egyptian government. It gets more than $1 billion annually in US foreign aid......plus millions upon millions in additional US-financed programs.

======================================================

EXHIBIT TWO The Congressional Budget Office states enacting S. 744 (The Senate immigration reorm bill) would have a wide range of effects on federal revenues, including changes in collections of income and payroll taxes, certain visa fees that are classified as revenues, and various fines and penalties. Taken together, those effects would apparently increase govt revenues by $459 billion over the 2014-2023 period.

====================================================

EXHIBIT THREE Obamacare was designed to raise trillions in fines, fees and enrollments.

EXHIBIT FOUR---FOURTEEN TRILLION DOLLARS Behind The Real Size of Obama's Wall Street Bailout; A guide to the abbreviations, acronyms, and obscure programs that make up the $14 trillion federal bailout.
SOURCE motherjones.com

The price tag for the Wall Street bailout is often put at $700 billion—the size of the Troubled Assets Relief Program. But TARP is just the best known program in an array of more than 30 programs overseen by the US Treasury Department (strong-armed by Obama's COS staff who held dual positions in the WH And the Treasury) and Federal Reserve that have paid out or put aside money to bail out financial firms and inject money into the markets.

==================================================

EXHIBIT FIVE---THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION JUST APPROVED $50 MILLION DOLLARS IN FOREIGN AID TO KENYA.

O'S KENYAN HALF BRO IS READY TO CASH IN---RUNS THE TAX-EXEMPT "DO-GOOD IN KENYA" OBAMA FOUNDATION. The tax-exempt “charity” named in honor of their Dad, is run by President Barack Obama’s half-brother Malik.

The tax-exempt Obama foundation, fast-tracked by Lerner for IRS tax-exempt status, is based at a Virginia UPS store, according to its website. The organization’s IRS filings list another Virginia address that is actually a drug rehab center where the foundation does not appear ever to have been based.

As first reported by The Daily Caller, the foundation was speedily approved for IRS exemption by Lois Lerner, the self-same IRS senior official at the center of the targeting of conservative organizations that have waited over two years to receive tax exempt status. The IRS thoughtfully gave Obama Foundation retroactive fund-raising status.......which it stupidly never applied for.

============================================

EXHIBIT SIX Obama gave oil-rich sub-Sahara Africa $9 billion tax dollars for an electricity program. I guess the running water will have to wait (snix).

He’ll be sending arms to the rebels soon. First, to give himself cover, he had to make sure a story was published saying that the rebels were fighting against Al Qaeda. Now he can send weapons to the “good rebels.”

To Washington Post,

You helped put a strange guy in office who has never had a job in the private sector and whose past, at best, is questionable.

This is why you don’t do this. Please espouse your criticism in front of a mirror.

Thanks You,
Uncle Sam

NOT a failure.

Obambo knows EXACTLY what he wants, how to get it—and is GETTING JUST WHAT HE WANTS.

Why—did you STILL think he’s on our side?

Obama is an extraordinary specimen and first in so many things.

Among them is the fact that he’s the first African president of America. Too bad his mother didn’t relocate to Zimbabwe.

He’s also the most ignorant narcissist to ever sit behind that antique desk he is fond of using as a footstool. This covers a lot of ground, I know, but this evil piece of mystery meat has got them all beat.

He can claim, if only that closet door wasn’t closed, to be the first homosexual president. When no one’s around he wears his wookie’s clothes, although they sag a bit on him.

He is a detriment and an embarrassment to any Americans who still possess a workable brain.

Obama is a complete failure, as a leader. On EVERY matter he has failed. Remember “jobs?” What about the “immoral” deficits and national debt he taunted Bush about? Does anyone at the Post remember him bragging about the great job on border security he claimed his admin was doing?

On foreign policy—are you kidding me? The “re-set” with Russia is clearly a flop. How about Benghazi? We could talk about that and Libya all day.

He sent back the bust of Churchill and sent the “special relationship” into the trash heap. He surrendered Iraq to jihadis and Iranian interests and is surrendering Afghanistan to the Taliban. He stood by and did nothing while freedom-loving Iranians were gunned down on the streets of Tehran. He engineered the takeover of Egypt by the largest terrorist feeder organization in the world, the Muslim Brotherhood—and even Egyptians can’t stand them.

If he does NOTHING AT ALL about Syria, it might in fact be the greatest triumph of his 8 years in office, the masterstroke.

FOX news reported Obama is NOT cutting off US aid to Egypt (even though US law denies aid to govts deposed via military coup).

Of course, the great irony in all this is that Obama, whose predecessor leftists in Congress (spearheaded by Frank Church, et. al.) are responsible for this sanctimonious law in the first place.

It was a law that dates back to congressional undercutting of the CIA, which was condemned for “installing” pro-America dictatorships around the world. But the truth is that these CIA-backed governments were replaced by ruthless communists, shariah-mad mullahs, and every form of creep known to mankind.

The world is a FAR MORE DANGEROUS PLACE thanks to the defanging of the CIA by Obama’s pals in the antecedent Left—and now he admits as much by trying to continue funding to the Egyptian military, the only stable force in what is the linchpin Arab nation.

If he had any sense at all, Obama would stop trusting Billy Ayers and George Soros to engineer new regimes in basket case nations and ask the CIA to do it. At least you’d get some competent governing in the bargain, rather than UTTER CHAOS.

Wow, it's as if he *lied* or something. But in his defense, he's been pretty occupied for most of the past month with trying to restore the Muslim Bro-hood to power in Egypt.
