what's the point of this speculation now?

Because the trial is over and the parents are in it with the media and the professional rabble rousers to cannonize Trayvon Martin.

Let his death serve a useful purpose in saving others . That will happen if there is an awareness of what these combinations can do. If his parents were responsible human beings, that's what they'd do....promote awareness of these drug options created from legal products.

There’s a lot more information that is going to come out about Trayvon, his mother and his father. It’s not good.

He had pictures of what looked like a concoction of Lean on his phone which of course could not be authenticated because, according to the judge, it was possible that one of his 7 year old cousins might have gotten to the phone, broken his password, mixed up that concoction, and taken the pictures.

Well aware of that LJ
If the parents had actually heard his calls of help and given him some attention he’d still be alive. Instead they stuck their heads in the sand in denial
Ironically it was Z who was reaching out to troubled black youth, while his parents went on with their self centered lives.

My point its past time conservaties fight back and distribute truth to those who are passing lies.
Send it to five sources Spread the truth !

What’s the point of this speculation now?

Because, as the truth oozes out, the entire black community in the US will see him for the drug-addled street thug he was and conclude that the jury acquittal was the correct, moral and logical outcome.

LOLOL...pant, pant, pant...LOLOL.

Can’t allow Martin being made into a martyr. That he was suspended from school three times and kicked off the football team needs to be as widely known as George Zimmerman’s height and weight.

I do know that a Facebook page can be forged. I’m sure that his “community” would claim that those threads are fake.

Media speculation as well as internet buzz are openly querying if Trayvon Martin's purchase of Skittles and Arizona Watermelon Fruit Cocktail Juice on the night he died were just to satisfy a young man's sweet tooth or were they two of the three ingredients in a dangerous codeine-based concoction, as reported by the pop culture news portal RashManly.com on July 12, 2013.

Yes, http://www.theconservativetreehouse.com did a great informative (as all their work has been on this) article on drank/lean/purple lean.

That said, the rest of the media is LATE TO THE GAME. They should have been all over this a year ago.

Especially shameful is groups/schools handing out Skittles and cans of Arizona Watermelon drink for Trayvon days.

Trayvon's death should have been used as a wakeup call, a teachable moment; instead, an innocent man was persecuted.

Robitussin DM contains a drug called dextromethorphan which (according to the Merck Manual) has the side effect of causing euphoria. This is the ingredient that makers of drank, purple drank etc. are after. It is also called Robo, roboing and about a dozen other names.

Kids use the sweetness of the candy to hide the taste of the cough syrup because your body will recognize the poison the second time you do it and issue a gag reflex.

Why not just drink cough syrup?

Have you ever tried to drink cough syrup? Particularly the over-the-counter stuff?

I practically have to force-feed myself Robitussin on the occasions when I need to use it. For the second teaspoon-full usually have to overcome a serious gag reflex.

Combining it with fruitpunch and candy makes it more palatable. And there's probably an kick from the additional sugar and caffeine. And I'd imagine that it's easier to conceal since it looks just like regular fruit punch in a brand-name container (sort of like putting whisky and water into an iced tea bottle, or whisky and Coke into a Coca-Cola one.)
