A lawyer friend of mine suspects that the Zimmerman trial is a clever trick that has been designed by cunning liberals to strip Americans of their second amendment rights. You all remember Clinton's legalisms in 1998, saying that what happened between him and Monica Lewinsky did not meet the strict legal definition of sex.
According to my lawyer friend, it is easy for sneaky liberals to interpret the second amendment as giving Americans the right to own arms, but not the right to use them. Liberals may have figured out that going door-to-door to confiscate guns is too much trouble. You can just pass a series of laws, and interpret them in such a manner that makes the use of guns illegal. A gun will have no more usefulness than a piece of furniture. In many jurisdictions, it is illegal to fire a gun on a neighborhood, even if nobody gets hurt.
Before stand your ground can be invoked, there has to be a corresponding ability to LEAVE your ground, and Zimmerman never had that option because he was pinned TO the ground, and had no way to retreat from it.
Zimmerman and other cases that may be like it are just stepping stones, and they only have to last long enough to get one step closer to their goal...the eradication of private firearms.

I’ll say it again, and I know it’s tinfoil hat stuff, the February combination of wall to wall 24/7 gun crimes (Christopher Dorner / LAPD, Alabama guy in the bunker with kidnapped 7-year-old, South African sprinter killed his girlfriend, King Of The Snipers shot at gun range) while Congress and various states were rushing gun control laws just doesn’t seem like a random coincidence to me.

Much like DOJ’s lawsuit against BMW in south Carolina where background checks (for employment) reflect disproportionately on negros ,so do the background checks for firearm ownership. I can almost hear Holder’s twisted logic now.

If they could not achieve this with a school full of dead children, one dead punk in some Florida subdivision ain’t gonna do it for them.
They’re too clever to try to actually repeal it. The trick is to do what DC and Chicago and CA have been doing and trying to do — make it so difficult to get a permit, require expensive “liability insurance”, require expensive “microstamping” of individual bullets, outlaw lead, eliminate Stand Your Ground and other defenses of actually using your gun, etc., that it is “repealed” in all but name.

Yeah, the 2nd dosent say to keep arms. Bearing arms means shooting as well so any attempt, to include ammo restrictions would infringe.
The goal of the Zimmerman trial has always been to eliminate the right of citizens to defend themselves.
They talk as if it was about racism or ‘stand your ground’ but that’s not true.
A weapon of any kind is useless if you can’t use it to defend yourself.
