President Obama’s sad view of America
Washington Post ^ | 7/19/13 | Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 07/19/2013 7:02:03 PM PDT by Nachum

President Obama’s extensive remarks in the White House Briefing Room this afternoon were as surprising as they were gratuitous. He had already made one statement asking citizens to respect the George Zimmerman verdict. Today he did so again but offered no specific policy recommendation with regard to race (although he used it as a forum to assail “stand-your-ground” legislation that ultimately was not at issue in the case). In fact, Obama undid some of the closure he provided in his earlier written statement by intoning: “If a white male teen was involved in the same kind of scenario, that,

He was whipping up racial hatred and division.

Maybe he knows he’s going to need fanatical support form Democrat core constituents in the coming months.

Benghazi?

IRS?

At least it’s peppier than Carter’s bland malaise. That got the Won a second term, that and a weathervane of a GOP candidate.

If Obama possessed just a scintilla of leadership and love for the USA in his bones he would condemn Sharpton’s 100 city march .

He did call on people to respect the jury's verdict. I expect nothing less. +1

Why didn't he denounce the protestors for acting on a false narrative? -1

Why didn't he condemn those promoting that false narrative? -1

Why didn't he say that those threatening Zimmerman's life would be prosecuted? -1

Why didn't he condemn the racial beatings "justified" by the verdict? -1

Why didn't he say that those doing the beatings would be prosecuted? -1

Total Score: -4

Hes JUMPED THE SHARK!!

Outlandish only touches the surface of this BIZARRE Behavior hes been engaging in.

17 minutes of pandering, and race baiting was 17 minutes too many!

Who cares THAT MUCH about TRAYVON but his parents????

how much blood will he get from this turnip??

I know he'd :"LOVE for us,,...the few the proud the SANE.. to be driven to outrage and madness by this display of inappropriate pandering..but I'm not there yet. although I can see a point at which maintaining an appropriate balance COULD become a bit more difficult

From what I read his eyes were lidded and was looking down mumbling whatever nonsense he was spouting.

Let me be clear. I’m not saying “Pick up a shotgun and shoot all the white people you see. Every single one of those ofays.” Make no mistake about it. If you were to understand me to say that, at some point in the future my jester spokesmouth would explain to you that you were mistaken or you misspoke myself. Are we clear? Good.

Obama's the Charlie Brown of US Presidents. Even Carter got more respect.

Why is everybody always picking on me?

Listen to the lyrics and tell me that isn't Obama.

The president at the very end argued that “those of us in authority should be doing everything we can to encourage the better angels of our nature, as opposed to using these episodes to heighten divisions.” Too bad he doesn’t follow his own advice.

Obama needs to understand he wasn't elected to be President of black people....

That’s exactly what he thinks! He was elected to be Pres of black people and commies.

He’s such an ass.

We were out to dinner tonight in N. Va. PLENTY of black people out, looking nice, all dressed up ...couples, families ...even mixed race gatherings! (gasp!!). A very pleasant evening.

I even spotted — GET THIS — an “inter-racial” couple!!!

Nope — many ppl around our area have just not caught onto the race-baiting agitating meme ... Obama could learn a
thing or two by hanging out around here.

The difference? Blacks have JOBS here ...they’re happy — and they don’t want to be bothered by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and their stinking CRAP.

More misdirection. Talk about Trayvon and not the Detroit bankruptcy, Benghazi, IRS targeting the TEA Party and NSA spying on everyone.

I put this comment on both the Wash Post and NBC comment sections :

"Obama also suggested that the outcome of the case could have been different if Martin were white. "If a white male teen would have been involved in this scenario," he said, "both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different."

Well, Obama, you should have had Holder look up previous cases for you ( since you seem incompetent to do it yourself ) before making such a statement.

In 2009 in Greece, N.Y., a suburb of Rochester. Roderick Scott, a black man, shot and killed an unarmed white teen, Christopher Cervini, whom he believed was burglarizing a neighbor's car, with a licensed .40 cal. handgun.

There are many similarities between the Scott-Cervini case and the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case in Florida. In both cases, there had been a spate of criminal activity in the neighborhood. In both cases, the shooters called 911 to report suspicious activity, yet chose to confront the unarmed suspects outside their residence and off their own property prior to the arrival of the police. In both cases, the shooters claimed that they felt threatened, and fired in self-defense. In both cases, local law enforcement applied relevant state law.

Scott was acquitted by a majority-white jury after claiming that the Cervini charged at him, putting him in imminent fear of his life.

There were no allegations of racial bias. Scott was not charged with a hate crime. There was no Federal civil rights investigation. There were no white protests. The case was settled for what it was: a tragedy caused by a series of poor decisions on behalf of the shooter, and a split-second decision that will forever be second-guessed.

We have very few blacks anywhere near us, but I hit a deer and had to get a rental car the day after the Zimmerman verdict. There is no car rental near me either but got on the phone and the nice guy I was talking to said he would meet me half way with the rental. When I met him he was a black man; very professional, very well dressed, very cordial- just a good guy who took such pride in his job he even wiped things down inside one last time when we were doing damage walk through.

When we left hubby noted that the man had seemed to be in a great mood so he didn’t seem to be upset by the Zimmerman trial. I told hubby it was likely because the man had a job that he obviously took pride in and didn’t have time or care to worry about all this racist stuff that is just being cooked up for political reasons.

Racism may still exist on some level, but from what I see hard working folks are just hard working folks no matter their race and seem to be able to work together, date, marry, whatever- without the issues the black leadership and black thugs would lead you to expect.

The race card is being overplayed and I expect to see it dawn on most people that it is just not necessary. Oh the thugs and politicians will try to keep milking it but I think we are going to see the day when it just won’t work.
