Where’s the “thou shalt not offend Obama” clause in the Michigan state constitution? I’m unable to find it. …

Prior to her ruling on Friday, (Judge Rosemary Aquilina) criticized the Snyder administration and Attorney General’s Office for what appeared to be hasty action to outflank pension board attorneys.

“It’s cheating, sir, and it’s cheating good people who work,” the judge told assistant Attorney General Brian Devlin. “It’s also not honoring the (United States) president, who took (Detroit’s auto companies) out of bankruptcy.”

Aquilina said she would make sure President Obama got a copy of her order. …

Exactly. The BR petition was filed just before she was asked to sign a restraining order. She can ignore a federal BR stay at her own peril.
She looks young so may figure Zero can use another ‘wise latina.’

I’ve heard talk radio callers state that it is against the law to show disrespect for the president. Yes I have.

With judges like this, who needs laws?

Stupidity, as defined by Webster (probably Daniel Webster, okay? Sound good?) is "deliberate ignorance."

I don't think this is deliberate. This is a birth defect.

I think the next step is to issue pensions in two forms....one is a 50-percent deal in cash, and the other is a 50-percent deal in a IOU. The IOU will be good in five years. The judge will get upset and then you suggest a private meeting where the finances are laid out in front of the judge. There just isn’t anymore money, and if you raise taxes significantly....people will just leave the city. This is truly a lose-lose-lose situation. At least the IOU would have some value...if the guy lives long enough to see it conclude.

I have a counterproposal: Why not issue pensions in three portions: the first portion would be 33-1/3 percent in IOUs; the second portion would be 33-1/3 percent in coupons redeemable in five years for (more) IOUs; and the third portion would be 33-1/3 percent in "Obamadollars?"

From The Daily Caller, May 21,2012:

After a debate about presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and President Obama got personal, a North Carolina social studies teacher warned a student that speaking poorly of Obama could lead to his arrest.

One of my pet peeves over the decades has been the lack of use of impeachment. Here’s a judge, who needs a good impeaching. She is obviously unsuited to be a judge. Michigan State Legislators, start your hearings.

IF this judge is the best Michigan has to offer—the whole country is in worse trouble than we thought.

The networks were stating that it takes an AVERAGE of 58 minutes for the police to respond in Detroit.

Maybe it also takes as long in Chicago and that is why so many people are dying on the streets there every day.

58 minutes is a long time to get to somewhere else.

Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. John Conyers Jr., D-Detroit, said Friday that Aquilina’s ruling justifies the need for congressional hearings on whether Detroit is misusing the bankruptcy process to slash retiree pensions and health insurance coverage.

This and your bloated welfare city are two main reasons why your city went bankrupt.
