White guilt and “empathy” will take this ghetto savage to the highest places. You can see examples of those things right here.

She hasn’t decided yet.

My point is that without various assists, opt-outs and lowering of standards her “chance” is not real. Even with an equal opportunity, she doesn't have what it takes. That is true of most. Only about 35% of adults have a college degree...fewer than 5% have an advanced degree. Fewer than 3% of people with IQs of 100 or less have a college degree. 50% of people have an IQ of 100 or lower. It is kind of like wanting to be in the NBA and you are 5 feet tall. It isn't going to happen in spite of your opportunity to do so. Chantel becoming a lawyer...the chance is minuscule. Maybe when we all get unicorns that constantly drop $100 dollar bills.

Well so far over $150,000 dollars have been spent on her to have a “chance”. And she did not bother to expend the effort to learn to read. That $150,000 dollars was taken from hard working people by school taxes who received nothing in return.

A chance by American standards is the freedom to build your own life, not steal from others in the name of equality. That is Marxism.

She is not equal, that is painfully apparent. It is not a lack of brains, it is the lack of desire to apply herself to use those brains.

Jesus also said to judge righteous judgment. The OT says a wise man sees trouble down the road and gets off but the fool blunders on to his destruction.

Throwing money at her to use for skoolin is foolish, take a good look at what she has done with it so far. We have to pay her school bills, they are running about 17,000 bucks a year. Now after 10 years of our investment in this girl, what does she have to show for it?

This is like raising taxes for Obama, his spending record for accomplishment ration is negative!

For the most part, you both are looking at the bigger problem and I agree with you. The current government policies are the biggest part of the problem. Much needs to change, starting with instilling discipline and a strong work ethic in the young. And it isn't just a black community issue.

What was happening on this thread last night was a savage ridicule of an individual who simply expressed her desire to become a lawyer. We don't really know what she capable of. Let's at least give her the benefit of that and let's not become that which we despise.

Sometimes in solving a single problem, answers to others are found. God has his ways... We may not see it at the time, but in the end it becomes apparent that it was his plan all along.

As an example, the lung transplant that Sarah received has brought much attention to issue. I'm reading all sorts of news of developments and new research efforts in those fields, like growing human livers in animals, 3D printing of organs and etc.

Let us do what can be done and trust in God to help with the rest. Let's not ridicule someone who shares a dream, no matter how difficult it may be to attain.

It isn't who we are. Is it who we've become?

Who would trust a black lawyer or doctor if Ms Ignorance is practicing law 10 years from now? Affirmative action already causes people to question the competence of some minorities in certain positions.

DC. . .there used to be, and maybe still are, “traditionally black” law schools in DC that graduate people of her caliber.

Met a graduate from one of those schools. . .and yes, dumb as a box of hammers, ugly, foul mouthed and, shocked I am, a State Department foreign service officer en-route to South Africa.

Guess I am just tired of all the Low lifes demanding that their wants are dreams I need to fulfill. I had a dream of owning some land and building a house, but the economic down turn makes it impossible for me to have my dream, because I am working hard to just cover my needs. Why, because I am forced to cover their wants and dreams.

I have no problem with her having dreams, and wish well on her demonstrating that she really means it by working for it. But if she has not bothered to even try to learn to read, its silly to think that she will ever work for a living, preferring to steal it from others using the government and liberal agenda as the gun.

They can have all the dreams they can fufill, on their own dime. And if I see people in my life living righteously that need a hand I do help them. But government never gets close enough to discern the difference.

Charity belongs in churches and our hearts, not in government and taxes.

Exactly

Where there is a will, there usually can be found a way; best wishes in your pursuit of your own little piece of heaven on earth.

the sad fact is:

after barley graduating highschool,

after barely graduating college with a general studies degree,

after some slock house law diploma mill hands her a diploma,

after some bar with a quota passage requirement gives her a law licence,

She will be appointed judge due to a quota rather than content of character.

It seems that the black “leaders” do overshoot the mark for their young black followers. They want all young blacks to be sports stars, rap stars, lawyers, ministers, movie stars, the Huxtables etc. Why not set the bar a little lower? Why not emphasize real and doable job careers such as auto mechanics, plumbers, electricians and any other trade that can be learned in the trade schools? I think the “leaders” are filling the heads of young black people with a lot of unrealistic ambitions when they could be developing real skills that would be actually needed in their community and would go a long way toward building a black middle class.
