GALESBURG, Ill. In a week when he tried to focus attention on the struggles of the middle class, President Obama said in an interview that he was worried that years of widening income inequality and the lingering effects of the financial crisis had frayed the countrys social fabric and undermined Americans belief in opportunity.
Upward mobility, Mr. Obama said in a 40-minute interview with The New York Times, was part and parcel of who we were as Americans.
And thats whats been eroding over the last 20, 30 years, well before the financial crisis, he added.
If we dont do anything, then growth will be slower than it should be. Unemployment will not go down as fast as it should. Income inequality will continue to rise, he said. Thats not a future that we should accept.
A few days after the acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case prompted him to speak about being a black man in America, Mr. Obama said the countrys struggle over race would not be eased until the political process in Washington began addressing the fear of many people that financial stability is unattainable....

Nothing spells economic success quite so soundly as taking money from those who are good at creating business opportunities and giving to those who can’t even balance a checkbook or have the foresight to complete high school.
It’s not just unethical; it’s stupid.
Our social fabric is not only frayed, it’s positively ragged.
Thank the gargantuan, central socialist government’s swinish, gluttonous evil empire building and thank the unknown comic Muslim who occupies the White Hut.
...just sayin'...
;-\
Then by all means, stop killing the American economy and pushing socialist policy, barry!
In the end its all on you.
And amnesty will increase this gap by lowering wages. If Democratic pols could look beyond their personal political interests and GOP pols could look beyond the interests of the plutocracy who will pay their future lobbyist salaries, we might make some headway towards reducing this gap.
“The priority, he said, should be spending”
His solution for everything. He really is stupid.
“You mispelled GRAMMER.”

Maybe you should try another dictionary. :))
Have a nice day.
Well, he hung curtains once.
The Race Baiter in chief will no doubt suggest more expansive entitlements to make up for this gap.
> Said the multimillionaire who has never worked a day in his life and will retire in luxury three years from now.
Well to be faiir, he DID work as an activist for ACORN for 10 years teaching others how to rig elections using dead people and other inethical tactics so that as to count for something.
So Obie, if your’e SO concerned about the income gap why don’t you open up that SuperPac of yours worth about a half a billion at last count and redisttibute the wealth? After all its not like you earned it. You received it in donations from gullible people just like the mega churches on TV do. I really don’t see much of a difference. Of course you want to tax the living crap out of THEM and take away their tax exempt status but then the people would finally realize you are the AntiChrist or his right hand man.
And whose policies are widening the income gap? Sheesh......the clueless one! The First bystander......

Nough, eye liyke mai dickshunary!
So I guess we should collectively lower all income until we are all equally miserable, except for Obama and his campaign doners.
Obama’s Fix: Make everyone poor...
Income? More people than ever don’t have any income, thanks to you.
Let's be fair! Didn't he sell drugs to the Choom Gang?
Selling a product to friends/family ain't exactly the same as running a real business and making a profit. From what I've seen, he couldn't sell crack cocaine in the Chicago projects without losing his shirt (and probably more).
In a week when he tried to focus attention on the struggles of the middle class.
Must be why he had Harry Reid to ask for a trillion dollar tax increase last week.
Private property gap.
