This is PRECISELY why WE the PEOPLE need to make our voices heard on this issue.

I just called both of my senators to let them know that they are misreading the will of their constituents and swallowing Democrat propaganda... if they do not defund Obamacare.

http://www.dontfundobamacare.com

Phone numbers of all of our representatives in Washington DC are on this webpage with the petition promoted by Senator Ted Cruz (a senator who impresses more and more).

At this point it is irresponsible to NOT shut down the Government! Corruption is all the way up to the head of the Department of Justice and the whole financial backing apparatus of the Government the IRS is admittedly criminally corrupt.

Time to STOP this garbage NOW! Pull the blank checks, install term limits and start the investigations and prosecutions.

There's only one thing I have to say, "Sarah Palin please end the Republican Party".

There's just a handful left that we can truly depend on, it's beyond fixable.

Many of those RINOs who land on the wrong side may as well kiss their political asses goodbye. Sadly many will also get by with it because their idiot constituents will continue to blindly vote for them. The country really needs a clean sweep of all elected and appointed federal positions.

Why the HELL wouldn’t EVERY Republican vote to defund this CRAP???

Simple. Because they want it, too. They just need to pay enough lip service to their base, to retain 50% +1 of the vote.

As long as the Senate is held by Democrat and Obama sit in the Oval Office, it’s a suckers game to keep pushing through defunding measures that go nowhere.

40 votes and nothing sees the light of day in the Senate. Dems just turn it on the House and beat them over the head with it.

Better to let the unions now upset over it speak out and Democrats opposed, even though few, to take a stand.

Stop playing into the Democrats hands and giving them the ammo they want to ridicule and paint the Republicans as hateful, mean and uncaring.

Stand there with an “I told you so” attitude.

Don’t forget that the progressive movement originated in the Republican Party and between Hoover and Goldwater all of the Republican presidential candidates fit that mold.

It is actually worse than that. Since Calvin Coolidge declined to run for reelection in 1928, every GOP candidate except three (Goldwater in 1964, Reagan in 1980 and 1984) has been from the Progressive school.

That includes Hoover who actually intervened heavily in the economy during the early years of the downturn. FDR, in fact, campaigned against said intervention and rode the anti-interventionist wagon to the presidency. We all know how that turned out.

Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford and both Bushes were all from the Progressive GOP establishment wing. For that matter, so was ever losing candidate from Hoover to Romney save Goldwater only.

That being said, even the Progressive GOP-e wing understands their power is not unlimited, something the Progressive Democrat wing consistently fails to recognize.

Thx for the link! Done!

Odd that the R’s are seeming as nervous about the base as the Marxist LEFTIES. This sprawling food fight against defunding Obamacare is very telling. Almost encouraging.

I think Coburn is right-every time there’s been a gubmint “shut down”, dems win.
We have 11 senators...( 5 asked for their name to be removed from Lee’s letter) So how’s that going to work?

Let the Obamacare trainwreck play itself out and the rats wear it around their neck. By 2016 people will see what a failure it is.

All funding bills must originate in the House.

If the House refuses to fund Obamacare in any budget it passes, IT WONT BE FUNDED.

If the House refuses to increase the debt ceiling, then it cannot be increased.

Pubs have the House votes to do either/both of the above.

If Rats want to risk a government shutdown over the very unpopular Obamacare, putting THEIR voters out of a few paychecks, then I say shut it down. The LAST thing the Rats would want is to shut down their precious bureaucracy.

If Pubs will not fight the battles when presented to them, then they represent no one & nothing but themselves. Boehner & Cantor lead the retreat & need to go.

I cannot abide these quislings who refuse to stand and fight.

Remember the Alamo!

The beltway GOP won’t even stand let alone fight. Phony conservatives are being exposed on this issue and that is why they are so furious.

You are advocating the tip toe strategy for the GOP. Minimize conflict with the Dems at all costs. How did that work out in 2012?

And why save the rats from their own mess?

Promising what you cannot actually deliver on makes people even more angry .

Republicans playing checkers again.(dems playing chess)

the best way to defeat a bad law is to enforce it on everyone.
