McCain the US Navy Pilot was long time ago, but I respect any man who wore the uniform. For that and that alone I have respect for him. But it ends there.
McCain the politician has done nothing except cross the aisle and help the people with almost the same ideology that imprisoned and tortured him.
Remember how he reacted when our side actually TRIED to fight Obama during the campaign? He freaked and called us racists.
I fully believe that they had Russian and ChiCom as well as NV folks working him over to make him compliant. Any man would break under that kind of pressure.
As 2ndDivisionVet pointed out a few posts up, McCain’s old man was CINCPAC, so he WAS a valuable bargaining chip as a POW. And if they could turn him, more the better.
Do you, having been there, knowing what you personally know of that time and that enemy, think he was turned? I wasn’t there, so I’ll never know...but one thing is for sure; this guy NEVER misses an opportunity to stick it to us and help the enemy out, and eagerly so.

I hear plenty of people who refer to the Forrestal disaster (even on this thread) as a black mark on his record, and I think we should stick to what we know is true. Same with Obama.
I used to admire the man until I met men that served with him. Then I have watched him confirm every nasty thing that I ever heard about him. obama is like a big blank wall... throw a dart and hit any spot and you will be on target. He is just that bad. Have yourself a good afternoon.

I don't like McCain one bit. But making stupid suggestions he was possibly incolved in the cause as you know darn good and well you did is over even the Tin Foil line. McCain had nothing to do with the missle launch except being in a plane hit by it.

I didn’t blame him... I actually said “accidental”. You are wanting to read into what I may have worded in a better way but twice in this thread I have explained exactly the point that I was trying to make. I also referenced in another response that a grounding tether and other safety procedures were bypassed to allow planes to launch faster. It sounds like a series of failures led to that disaster. Now mccain is a disaster. Some people are just power hungry jerks and I think that mccain is one of them. He is not guilty or complicit in the Forrestal accident according the data that I have read. I can’t be more clear. I still even after reading information on it, do not know the cause. Static discharge causing a voltage surge seems a likely candidate. Like I said... they listed many things that could have combined to cause this event to happen. As far as mccain... he is a reprehensible jerk.
There were a lot of heros on that ship that day even ones who made mistakes. Forrestal changed Naval firefighting prevention and procedures forever. How many times have you seen the Navy's footage of the incident?
So then if McCain was not guilty or complicit in the accident then why did you even bring it up for? It doesn't take a rocket scientist seeing the Flightdeck spotting to understand what plane the missle came from.

I, too, am a veteran who swore an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States and to protect the nation from ALL enemies. McCain is not a friend of this country, rather he’s one of many who belong to the NWO organization, the CFR.

It bothers me as well, not because of any disrespect or insult to McCain, but because it makes it easy for people to dismiss our reservations about him by saying “He was responsible for the fire on the USS Forrestal”.
People hear someone say that, and discount every single thing, true or false because of the hyperbole in linking him to the Forrestal fire.
Same issue with Obama. There are plenty of things to rake him over the coals about, but if we allow ourselves to engage in exaggeration and hyperbole, it make is easy for his defenders to dismiss us.
I just think it self-defeating in the end to engage in that. I would rather excoriate him for the things he factually deserves, and there are plenty. But I fear that concern falls on deaf ears.

Yeah, I think McCain crash landed his plane on the deck of the Forrestal and started that fire intentionally - there can be no other answer for such an incompetent maneuver like that. HE TRIED TO SINK THAT SHIP!!!!
