Who paid for Anthony Weiner's wedding?
American Thinker ^ | 07/30/2013 | Thomas Lifson

You've got to hand it to Anthony Weiner and Human Abedin; they seem to have a real knack for getting other people to pay for their lavish lifestyle. Not only do they live in a $3.3 million Manhattan apartment owned by a Hillary supporter, they appear to have had their lavish wedding (estimated cost: a quarter million bucks!) paid for somebody else. And because Weiner failed to disclose this gift, he may face criminal sanctions. Charles C. Johnson of the Daily Caller reports:

Anthony Weiner may have violated federal law when he failed to disclose his lavish six-figure wedding in his financial disclosure forms, says a government accountability group.

Ethics watchdog group National Legal and Policy Center examined the federal Financial Disclosure Reports for both Weiner and long-suffering wife Huma Abedin for 2010, the year of their wedding.

The cost for the ceremony was at least $100,000 but probably ran closer to $250,000 including all accommodations, clothing and extras. Neither Weiner nor Abedin had the resources to pay for the ultra-expensive wedding, yet neither recorded gifts on their Financial Disclosure Reports for that year.

Keep in mind that at the time, Weiner served in Congress, and Huma was a top aide to the Secretary of State - both positions involving sensitive information and potential influence. Undisclosed gifts to people in such positions raise the specter of potential bribery in any circumstances.

There is potential trouble ahead:

Even though there is an exemption for gifts from personal friends, the Ethics in Government Act requires written permission from the House Ethics Committee for any Congressman getting gifts worth more than $250.  Weiner had no such written permission.

"Undisclosed gifts to people in such positions raise the specter of potential bribery in any circumstances."

Huma Abedin is a Muslim Brotherhood infiltrator invited consultant resident in this administration.

Weiner is her cover to deflect questions about her relationships with Hillary.

There is no "specter of potential bribery", only the reality of evil machinations by the cabal of the Democrat party, the press, "elite intelligentsia" and others intent on destroying the USA.

Who paid for Anthony Weiner's wedding?

Since the jerk-offs a liberal the New York Times won't care... Well, unless Hillary's people tell them to care...

Huma Abedin dines with Clinton spokesman

Washington (CNN) - Huma Abedin was spotted having dinner Monday night with Hillary Clinton’s spokesman, Philippe Reines, in Washington.

The two were seen sitting outside at Meiwah Restaurant, a bustling area located between the neighborhoods known as Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom.

Meiwah is a favorite spot of Reines’ and is considered a place to see and be seen.

The apartment is owned by the American Jewish Committee, or by officials thereof.

This pond is very deep.

A side note on this whole issue is that I think the cost of a wedding is often inverse to the value of the marriage.

Wedding ceremonies are for women, not men. Men are happy with a gathering of family and friends, a nice venue, and a pleasant reception (as are many women).

Some women truly want to be a princess and orchestrate a wedding ceremony-reception-honeymoon befitting 19th century royalty. I think this causes them to be less choosy in picking a husband, as the husband is an accessory item. It also gives them a sense of unreal expectations, making every day of their marriage after the first a disappointment. These same women demand ludicrously extravagant anniversary presents in the first few years.

Didn’t Slick marry them?

Yes, and doesn't he seem like the perfect guy to do it? Remember too that Huma was a WH intern with Monica. Some speculate that all 4 had an enjoyable summer....

I’m guessing it was a combo of Clinton donors and FOB’s, Clinton (tax exempt organization money) and Hillary strong arming people including her own staff to donate “freebies” as she did for her own spawn’s $2 wedding months after Huma’s

It would be a hoot to compare Humas wedding gift regietry with Hillary’s retirement (as first lady) “furnish my new Chappaqua and Georgetown mansions” housewarming registry

Silver asparagus tongs, anyone?

and since Slick wasn’t licensed to perform marriages in NY, maybe Huma has a quick annulment escape plan in her future

I want my piece of the pie! I’m sick of the liberal elite living high off the hog on our money. They are arrogant and feel entitled to live like kings.

I am sure that people and companies wanting favors, or hoping to avoid being targeted by sleazy congressmen who are not above threatening legislation unless a company pays up, were the ones who pay the rent and for the wedding.

This interest in their finances right now has Hillary’s fingerprints all over it. She is livid over what the Weiners are doing to her public image, and it wouldn’t surprise me if Hillary isn’t doing everything in her power to get rid of them.

Clinton would have to share the wealth with Chelsea as she probably has no real income.

Yet her protegee, Huma Abedin, is doing just what Hillary does, the whole stand by your man routine. How can Hillary be mad?

Hillary has shown time and time again, that she is okay with husbands who publicly and repeatedly humiliate their wives and make a mockery of marriage vows. How can Hillary say anything about Huma standing by her man, and trying to manipulate public opinion and all that????

they appear to have had their lavish wedding (...) paid for somebody else.

Actually, that means somebody else profited. So Weiner's good to go.

Unless the writer meant "paid for by somebody else."

You can now see why Carlos is hanging on. He owes, and he owes big! Nobody’s friend gives away a $3 mill apartment for a presumably symbolic rent, without expecting payback.
