Christie brushes off Paul’s beer proposal [NJ Governor is a jerk]
CNN ^ | 7/31/13

Gov. Chris Christie said Wednesday night he’s a little too busy with his re-election bid this year to have a beer with Sen. Rand Paul.

The senator from Kentucky made the pitch earlier in the day, hoping to ease tensions that have escalated in the past week between the two potential 2016 Republican presidential contenders.

But Christie gave no indication he plans to take up Paul on the effort.

“I’m running for re-election in New Jersey, I don’t really have time for that at the moment. If I find myself in Washington, I’ll certainly look him up,” Christie said on New Jersey 101.5. “But I’ve got work to do here.”

Paul made his peace offering during a television interview, saying he’s ready to “kiss and make up,” one day after he called Christie the “king of bacon” when it comes to government spending. Paul’s reference to Christie’s requests for billions in federal relief aid after Superstorm Sandy slammed into his state came in an interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room.

I was watching the back and forth between Flower Child and Fat boy and it sounds like Fat boy struck back in citing the NJ high federal tax to $$$ benefits ratio compared to Kentucky's ration and then Flower Child just backed off apparently scared he would lose that argument, offering to have a beer with Christie on the Cavuto show. You see Fat boys response above,

Not promising for those expecting Flower Child to perform in a debate.

Christie would have time for a beer with Springstein...and more time to cry about it.

Christie is the poster-boy for arrested development, IMO.

A Big Mac and a malt maybe; but not a beer - that could make Krispy look too manly.

Rand needed to throw in a plate of wings with the beer. Maybe some cheese sticks, potato skins, fried mushrooms, french fries, some poppers, .......

No, they want OTHER people to pay more, gov’t to run OTHER peoples’ lives. They get all ‘uppity’ when they themselves get in the cross-hairs.

Back on topic. Christie could traipse around NJ w/ O (who still hasn’t ‘cut the red tape’ that I’ve read) but can’t spend an hour/two for a brew? Yep, keep it up douche, you’re ‘16 prospects are swirling the bowl ever faster; you’ll never get a penny for me, let alone my vote.

Maybe a half dozen fried eggs sandwiched between two donuts with a 1 pound side of hashbrowns would get Christie to the table. Then the milkshake with a king sized Snickers bar for desert.

Hey man, I am inviting Gov Christie down here to exercise our constitutional right to shared a doobie or two with me and then maybe go out for some munchies. We can work this out under the right conditions’

One of them many things that disturbs me about all politicians is the focus they put on re-election and fundraising instead of doing the freakin’ job they were elected to do and the fact that the electorate let them continually do it by re-electing these idiots. I wish I could score a job where I got paid to basically play golf and socialize 80% of the time I should be working.

Cut their staffs down to a couple of people and make them work.

Not only is Christie a democrat in disguise, he is (and reminds me of) an arrogant, loud mouthed “bully”.

“...he called Christie the “king of bacon”...

IINM, “Sheets” Byrd - he’s got streetlamps and fire hydrants named after him - held that title, and Ron Paul was no slouch, either. Neither was Murtha, Stevens, Dornan... but isn’t that what they all do, to differing degrees? Bring home the ‘bacon’ (US Taxpayers’ monies) to their districts and states? PORK.

The establishment will be glad in Rand ends up as the leading alternative, he’d probably be the easiest for them to beat.
