The first woman to graduate from the Citadel is planning to challenge South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in the Republican primary next year.
Charleston businesswoman Nancy Mace will head to Goose Creek Saturday to announce her Senate campaign, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
This isnt about one senator, Mace told TheDCNF. The only way to change Washington is to change who we send to Washington.
Washington is out of touch, she added. Voters are frustrated. Theyre looking for someone authentic.
In a June fundraising email, the Senate Conservatives Fund listed Graham as one of three Republican senators the group would support a primary campaign against if strong, conservative challengers emerge.
Mace, who has written articles for The Daily Caller, is a Fort Bragg native who graduated from South Carolinas military college in 1999, becoming the first woman graduate since the Citadel was founded in 1842. She later wrote a memoir of her experience at the school and runs a public relations firm in Charleston.
Last year, Club for Growth president Chris Chocola told a Christian Science Monitor event that Graham was a potential target.
If youre looking to the horizon of 2014, Chocola said, the sun may rise over South Carolina.
South Carolina Republican state Sen. Tom Davis predicted to TheDCNF last year that someone will challenge Lindsey Graham.
After Graham spoke out in support of the National Security Agencys data collection practices under the Obama administration, Mace wrote a scathing post at the conservative blog RedState chastising the senator.
In Senator Grahams world, the Constitution doesnt exist, she wrote. In Senator Grahams world, the entire Bill of Rights is negotiable.

Hmm. I’m not a big fan of women forcing their way into The Citadel and VMI...on the other hand, if she graduated a year early from a school that tough, she must have something going for her. I look forward to seeing my beloved neighbors to the south dropkick Pansy Graham out of office next year!

Trey is an Amnesty sell out, be careful what you wish for.Just like all human beings, no politician is going to be 100% "your way" all the time.
Trey is a strong patriot and I would vote for him if he challenged Linda.

Gowdy and the RINO stacked judiciary heard from dreamers who want to go to the Ivy League instead of white kids with higher scores.
USCIS has attacked Goodlatte saying they cant process millions of these dreamers.
I wonder if Graham and McCain get lynched in Egypt who Brewer and Haley would temporarily pick.
Cardon should be sent immediately to trash Flake. I wonder if Gowdy would be sent. Take him from the Judiciary at least.

Thanks. That answers my questions about whether Gowdy’s for Blue Slipping the Senate Bill (No) and building the fence, first (also NO) :(

This is a mace. No moving parts:
This is a flail. Basically a mace with a (typically) spiked ball-and-chain attached:

Bald-faced lie that is being repeated here on FR by posters like you. Only the honest informed freepers repeat that. A couple weeks ago I watched Trey hug and nearly kiss Guetterrez after he gave one of his disgusting appeals for amnesty.

what’s with the crescent moon and desert palm for a logo?
I get a little un-nerved at the crescent moon, same as a swastika for some reason.
but hey, I’m just that way.

You've added "and nearly kiss" to your earlier meme that Gowdy has folded on immigration by what you saw in relation to Congressman Guitterrez. And "only the honest informed FReepers repeat that (Gowdy has folded)". Really, now? I hear ya.

If you want to read those negatives into it, you will and you have. Seems Gowdy's not really a conservative or doing a good job of representing the people of his (my) district, according to posters on this thread and other FR threads. Looks like you'll have to rely on your own Congressfolk and stop expecting any help from S.C.

Look, Si. Don't you and other Illinoismakers have a city and a State to repair before concerning yourselves about what's on the S.C. flag? Come off it.

For sure; for sure. But a Google Images search for "Gowdy Gutierrez" indicates you have a strange idea of what constitutes "hugging and nearly kissing".

Thank you for stating your position in an agreeable fashion. As you can see, I've lost my patience with these...these...these FR anti-S.C. propagandists.

I dont think much of the woman that busted the Citadel running as a Conservative. Is that the best they can do?
Do you realize yet that "the woman" (Shannon Faulkner) you are referring to is not Nancy Mace? I hear Shannon was a washout but she certainly did not maintain the (health) standards necessary to be a Citadel Cadet
To: cotton1706
As a former member of The Corps of Cadets, Class of 71, and a Summerall Guard, two things need correcting in this article.
It is not the Citadel, it is The Citadel.
It is not South Carolina's military college, it is the Military College of South Carolina or MCSC.
Carry on.
