Thank goodness most people could never participate in the police state because they couldn’t help asking, “Why the hell are we doing this?” But I’ve met a lot of zombies who would never ask that question. Their minds are programmed to accept without question what the state tells them. It is their religion.

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

- Ayn Rand, 1957 -

“possessing an eagle feather is a federal crime carrying a fine of up to $25,000. Imagine being a criminal for picking up a feather in the woods. Only enrolled members of specific Native American tribes are allowed to have these feathers.”

As recall hillary got a pass.

As recall hillary got a pass.

I'd like to thank the United States Government for protecting me and my kind.

You see, 40 years ago, my odds of making it out of the egg, alive, were very poor; about 80% of us died.

But a lady discovered our plight and wrote a book that addressed our problem,
and, in 1972, a law was ammended protecting us even further. (http://www.fws.gov/midwest/eagle/protect/laws.html)

What I find strange is that the same government passed a law the very next year that allowed for killing
of unborn, and apparently unwanted, humans.  Little ones still nestled safely in their Mother's womb.
Around 25% of them are dying before birth - on average nearly 3,300 - every day of the year.

I hear that by now, somewhere around 55 MILLION of them have perished.
Wouldn't that kind of mess up the humans plans for growth, and welfare, and
retirement?

Strange birds; these Homo Sapiens.  Perhaps they'll come to their senses
before they are ALL dead!

We’re from the government, and we’re here to kill the baby deer.

Dear Lord, please give us strength.

My brother-in-law and I watched a bald eagle fly down a road and shed a feather. We were at first temped to retrieve the feather, but then I remembered that so much as possessing an eagle feather is a federal crime carrying a fine of up to $25,000. Imagine being a criminal for picking up a feather in the woods. Only enrolled members of specific Native American tribes are allowed to have these feathers.

I often say, "I'm Native American, I was born here." These laws are rediculous.

We will or shall find the same mentality applied to us in the near future, say within 20 years. what do you think all these “Death with dignity laws” are being proposed for?

And don’t think for a minute that they won’t do it. Shoot the man dying of thirst for attempting to drink from the pond. Anyone who has want to see can see, from merely reading the news, that the members of law enforcement have taken a non chalant attitude about taking someone’s life.

I hope he follows my suggestions.

Unless heads roll in situations like these, it will encourage future events of a similar nature.

If you check out the posting about 60 cops firing 137 shots at twpo unarmed civilians sitting in a speeding vehicle, you will see that America is drifting down the road towrads a fascist state and elements of law enforcement, national security and a whole lot of politicians are in the driver’s seat.

Things like this are NOT conservative.

Has the story received a lot of publicity?

I am in total agreement. It is too often that societal actions are looked at as just some unconnected human behavior. When in fact it is the human behavior that bastardizes the societal intentions for reasonable behavior/actions. Persons who do not/cannot abide by decent and acceptable societal standards must be kept out of public influence. I’ve had my experiences on this matter without suffering any fallout.

More publicity than it deserves. The woman who runs this shelter is a nut case and is known for suing everybody right and left and engaging in outrageous acts. She’s been convicted of doggnapping and suborning purjury to cover it up. I wouldn’t believe a word she ways. I don’t like to see fawns killed, but if I were a DNR agent, I’d take an army regiment and a camera crew with me before I went to confront Cindy Schultz. I’d describe her as Wisconsin’s Cruella DeVille.

Considering her past record with animals, I do not know how she has a license.
