I still have such little faith in Republican primary voters in SC that I can’t see any of these challengers doing much at all.

glennbeck.com: Could this be the candidate to take down Lindsay Graham?

Like I told upchuck, I’m following his lead and want to see all the candidates on the same stage and will make up my mind later who to vote for initially. Then it WILL BE anybody but Lindsey in the primary run-off.

Curious that Mace is getting slammed more than she is getting any kudos on the very few initial FR threads about her. So I donated to her campaign today as well.

I agree. I do not know what Palin will do but if one candidate shines... she will back the best Conservative. She holds the same low opinion of graham that we all do.

“You sure you’re not Lindsey?”

LOL. That’s awesome.

I want a GOOD candidate. That’s what I want.

So far, in 2 separate interviews with softball questions, Mace is not.

Anyone has a problem with vetting candidates early in - get your head straight.

If this is your very first election then I can understand why you would jump on the first horse to go to gate. Otherwise, you should know better. :)

Mace will be whoever she is and do whatever she will... and we will all have to wait and see. She either has it or she will go away quickly. As far as her past is concerned... be very careful. Any negatives need to be verified and if they cannot be verified... lightfoot is likely the source. fagraham is notorious for sliming with untruths. Now if she is a slacker... it will come out and she should be shunned for a better candidate... and this new man running may be him.

Good, cogent observations on Mace. I think it's just nerves..initial stage fright..she'll be much better in a few weeks....if not, it'll be a short campaign for her, as it should.

BTW..given that very, very funny question to you.."Are you sure you're not Lindsey?"...you should make some version of that your FR tagline...i.e. "I am most definitely NOT Lindsey.."

Three challengers all but guarantee a Graham victory.

Neither the Cavuto interview nor the Beck interview were professionally handled by the interviewers. Mace handled both poor interviews quite well. So, that's my take. But why dig at me? Maybe you are not Lindsey but you ARE doing the lifting for him.

Which are you from: the Upstate, the Midlands, or Low Country? Most folks here around here think I should support Lee Bright, since he and I are from the same Upstate county and I have known him. Maybe I shall when it comes time to vote.

One more Beck question for you: "How's YOUR soul?" (No response is ever satisfactory for Glenn.)

Lee Brite is a State Senator with a good record. Check him out. He is not an unknown entity in SC.

If you dispute anything that I have written I look forward being proven wrong.

However, I have written nothing that is not common knowledge: Father was a Citadel Commandant, just 3 years at Citadel, ghost-written book.

If you have no interest in fact checking, but will blindly support the first unknown candidate while accusing me of spreading lies from unreliable sources, then I don’t believe you are genuinely curious in finding the best candidate.

Nope. They will pull Lindsey bellow the 50% threshold and he will lose in the runoff. This is how Cruz and 5 other candidates beat the establishment pick in Texas.

I also want a GOOD candidate to defeat Graham. With his war-chest and extensive RINO support, any such successful defeat will almost certainly be done in a run-off election. And, realistically, it will take him having multiple opponents in the primary to force that run-off. That’s where the bloodied Lindsey Graham will be defeated.

My belief is that anyone who truly wants to see Graham kept below 50% in the primary will encourage ANYONE who takes votes from him. I’m saving my fire for Lindsey Graham. The candidate I like best so far, with the very limited information I have, is Lee Bright. But, after getting more information, if he ends up being the one I want to go head to head with Graham in a run-off I’ll will support him wholeheartedly. That support DOES NOT INCLUDE ATTACKING OTHERS CHALLENGING GRAHAM—they ALL will be contributing by draining votes from Graham in the primary. And I hope that all good, clear-thinking conservatives will see the wisdom of that approach.

Of course, there will be RINO trolls on these boards who will be expending their energy attacking and warring on one or more of Lindsey Graham’s primary opponents. That only serves Little Lindsey’s interests.

My great concern is a vote split and a Graham win in the primary.

McCain came out with 56 percent in his primary in AZ in 2010 with Sarah Palin’s help.

I don’t expect her help for Lindsey Graham or else I will change my tagline.

Her accomplishments are writing a book that was ghost-written for her, getting into Citadel (a year late) by having a father who was a Commandant of the school, and.... that’s about it. Honestly.

So she adheres to the Obama model of political office seeking.

Wait, I apologize if I took a dig at you. I wasn’t trying to be personal. I apologize.

I am stunned at the sudden and blind attachment to a complete unknown who appears objectively unqualified to be a United States Senator. A Senator whom will be in office for 6 long years.

And running against a really nasty man who is going to go for the balls on anyone who tries to take his post.

My soul is fantastic, but utterly confused by the rush to champion a horse with no ribbons and bad confirmation who stutters at the gate.

Father was a Citadel Commandant, just 3 years at Citadel, ghost-written book.

You spit these phrases out like they are negatives. Do you see these as negatives? Why?

Her book, In the Company of Men: A Woman at The Citadel...the authors listed right here on the cover are Nancy Mace with Mary Jane Ross. So, you're saying Mary Jane Ross wrote the book without input from Nancy Mace? Or, just what are you meaning by "ghost-written book" and why does that matter?

This race will be epic. Rand Paul and Cruz will probably endorse Bright and hopefully Palin will as well. Lindsey is toast.

In your opinion, at which point in the contest will it be ok for us to vet a candidate or to have a forming opinion?

Please be specific so I can be ready.
