[AUDIO] Harry Reid: John McCain controls about 10 people and that’s all I needed to get things done

See I don’t need a lot of Republicans to help me. And that’s why I so admire John McCain. John McCain and I came to the House together 31 years ago. We came to the Senate together at the same time. He and I have fought over the years but we’re also very very good, good friends. And he broke away from the pack.

He said, in effect, we have to get some things done. So he doesn’t control the Republican caucus but he controls probably 10 people there. That’s all I needed.

And we were able to get a lot of things done. We nominated scores, we confirmed scores of nominees. And because of him we were able to get immigration reform done. We’ve been able to do some things.

But it’s because of John McCain breaking away from this ideological anarchy-driven Tea Party that has so much control over Republicans in Congress.

Ramirez’ political cartoon is about A-Rod today.

Yep.

I just can't figure out how that relates to the thread about Harry Reid and John McCain.

US-Egypt alliance on verge of collapse

America’s intricate alliance with Egypt, woven over four decades,is standing on the verge of collapse over the failure of the Obama administration to comprehend the revolution that ousted the Muslim Brotherhood from power in Cairo.

In a cascade of mutual recriminations over the past three days,President Mansour and his prime minister,Hazem Biblawi, described two senior American senators, sent as emissaries of President Barak Obama,as “delusional” and “liars.”

The two senators arrived with demands to release all Muslim Brotherhood leaders being held under arrest and to integrate the party into the new revolutionary government. Otherwise, they warned, the Obama administration will cutoff all financial and military aid to Egypt.

I provide that link on every post I make with the quarterly FReepathon link. It wasn’t intended to pertain to this topic.

It says right there, “Ramirez’ latest.” It doesn’t say, “Look what Ramirez had to say on this topic.”

"I agree, McCain doesn’t control anyone but the democrats do and only the numbers are in dispute".

BS, McCain controls Palin. She flew out here to ensure his re-election over a Tea Party candidate, J.D. Haywrorth. Palin blasts the GOPe for supporting amnesty but refuses to speak against McCain who is the main cheerleadier for amnesty in the Senate. Palin tweets and face books a good game but when the time comes to stand against amnesty she dare not speak against her "owner", John McCain. I'm trying not to sound bitter but every time I see a post sarcastically saying, " thanks Arizona", I wonder why Palin gets a pass. Not only did she give McCain a rousing endorsement to this day she refuses to question why McCain shares the exact same position as Obama, Reid and Pelosi on immigration.

I don't know which one to be more angrier and disgusted about. The fact he does have a dozen or more who follow him & McCain his trained chimp or the fact Reid is so arrogantly proud of the fact.

Harry Reid sure does seem to be flapping his gums a lot lately. Did someone give him some truth serum?

I personally believe they have become so emboldened because internals, about their efforts to become despots, show that they are firmly in control and that nothing short of an armed revolution could stop them. They probably also have info that indicates that killing 50-100 million of us would fix that problem and they are prepared and willing to do it.
