At the Otay crossing near the San Diego border last Monday, about 200 people coming from Mexico gained entry to the United States all using the same key phrase; they claimed they had a 'credible fear' of drug cartels. According to KSAZ FoxPheonix: So many were doing this that they had to close down the processing center and move the overflow by vans to another station.
"They are being told if they come across the border, when they come up to the border and they say certain words, they will be allowed into the country," said a person who did not want to be identified on camera. "We are being overwhelmed."
KSAZ reports the new tactic could easily overwhelm the immigration system, quoting immigration attorney and former immigration official Pete Nunez:
"To make our system even more ridiculous than it has been in the past," he adds. "There are no detention facilities for families, so the family would have to be split up. We don't want to split families up, so we end up releasing people out into the community on bond, on bail." Nunez says, "It's a huge loophole."
"There has to be a policy change, something implemented, an emergency implementation that will stop this, or otherwise we will have thousands coming in."
The goal, however, may be to overwhelm the system. This apparent new tactic comes on the heels of widely publicized activism by a group called 'The Dream 9' who also used a claim of asylum to gain re-entry to the country.
All nine of the activists have now established credible fear, a step toward an asylum hearing. Supporters are now hoping the Dream 9 will be eligible for parole, which would allow them to return to the United States until their asylum hearing dates.

If I ran the borders, I’d petition the local drug cartels to station a representative just their side of the US Border and require a ‘permission’ stamp from them before the petitioners can come in here claiming “credible fear”...

Oh, I know how the question looked, but seriously, given the “amnesty” climate in this country right now, the pandering to “south of the border populants” and executive orders and prospective near-term law changes, how can anyone from any country, in any numbers be denied entry to the US and direct access to our social safety net, educational opportunities, an Obamaphone?
I seriously want to know - are there any limits at all? The guy quoted in the article about needing a ‘policy’ change- What could possibly limit any prospective illegal immigrant from coming to the US? Are there any limits? What are they? Shouldn’t Americans know about them?
This is the progressive, one world globalist goal. Give up just a lil tad of soviegntry.
When amnesty passes, they will have taken a giant leap forward in fulfilling this goal.

I guess the reality of it is that Democrats and Obama who are in charge means there are no limits. While formal laws exist against it, they lawlessly ignore them.

1. 2014 looms ominously for Dems----Ohaha's resorting to desperate measures to get more illegal votes to the polls.....rushing them over the border.
2. There's a huge monetary component---when a foreigner claims "credible fear" they know they'll get "asylum" which is subsidized w/ hefty monthly SS checks that never end. These crafty border fritos have multiple identites to milk the asylum con game for all its worth.

Mmmmmm.....sure would like to see Dem internal polls. As this issue gets closer to the crucial midterms.....and as Obama's approval ratings sink---he's down to 41%....more and more congressmen and senators will be scared to death to get on-board.

Look for the August 28th demonstration to commemorate the 50th anniversary of MLK's march on Washington to be turned into a massive immigration reform rally. Amnesty will be made into a civil rights issue. Obama will be speaking. It wouldn't surprise me if there are some Rep senators there supporting the Senate bill.
The other side has the SEIU and lots of money. They can assemble big crowds when they decide to do so. There is already a massive effort all over the country to push amnesty. They are targeting certain GOP congressmen. And when you have Ryan, Cantor, and Goodlatte supporting amnesty, you have a big problem.

Mmmmmmmm........I don't think organized black groups would go along with that. They are on a roll w/ the Trayvon thing....and they certainly do not want a buncha illegals co-opting their game.
