RIYADH (Reuters) - Saudi King Abdullah called on Arabs on Friday to stand together against "attempts to destabilize" Egypt, in a message of support for the military leadership and an attack on the Muslim Brotherhood.
"The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its people and government, stood and stands today with its brothers in Egypt against terrorism," he said in a message read out on Saudi television, in an apparent reference to continuing clashes between the Muslim Brotherhood and police.
"I call on the honest men of Egypt and the Arab and Muslim nations ... to stand as one man and with one heart in the face of attempts to destabilize a country that is at the forefront of Arab and Muslim history," he added.
Hundreds were killed in Egypt this week when the security forces cleared protest camps set up by the Muslim Brotherhood to demonstrate against the military's ousting of President Mohamed Mursi last month.
Saudi Arabia was a close ally of former President Hosni Mubarak - the veteran strongman brought down by a popular uprising in 2011 - and it fears the spread of Muslim Brotherhood ideology to the Gulf monarchies. It pledged $5 billion in aid to Egypt after the Islamist Mursi was ousted.

Maybe they should send Egypt the aid that seems must only come from American taxpayers.
Seems they were the only ones supporting the radical muslim brotherhood extremist!
And now Obama has suckered MeCain and Mini-MeCain into the fray! What dumb-asses!
The chaos in Cairo continues and seems to be getting worse. President Obama even temporally interrupted his summer vacation to address the growing crisis.
What, if anything, can the Obama Administration do to end the violence and bring stability back to Egypt?
Dr. Walid Phares, Fox News Channel Middle East and Terrorism Expert, joined Tom on Thursdays to discuss the White Houses options. Dr. Phares explained the history behind the current violence and why he thinks the White House isnt coming out against the Muslim Brotherhood.
LISTEN BELOW as he explains why he thinks the Muslim Brotherhood is in a political partnership with Barack Obamas White House:

Thanks EBH.
The problem is ....0bama isn’t even playing checkers.
Every day I just sit in utter astonishment at how feeble we are at stopping him and his coalition.
Let the Saudis fund Egypt, the American taxpayers don’t need to foot the bill for “world order” like the progressive Democrats and Republicans would have us do.
Heck, the Saudis have a lot of our money anyway.....
It’s good to be da King
It’s bad to not take sides with da King
I predict a softening of tone from barry and his minions
America can’t do anything to help the Egyptians as long as Obama remains president.
Obama forfeited his credibility as a potential neutral peacemaker in Egypt when he took sides with the Muslim Brotherhood, and then he forfeited his credibility as an honorable statesman and human being when he withdrew his support for the Muslim Brotherhood when the going got rough for Mohammed Morsi.
Let’s hope King Abdullah and his deep pockets can help the Egyptians resolve their crisis soon.
Bttt
The gov’t, congress, military, education system, society etc are totally-infiltrated and thoroughly-compromised; 0traitor’s islamic caliphate is proceeding along as planned.
——looks like the Mooslim Sistahood from here?
It works so well with the LIVs and LSM.
Look, it’s a religious thing, like kissing the Pope’s ring.
King Abdullah is Protector of the Holy sites and Muslims show respect by bowing to him.
Who our really ought to be angry at is the Democrat Party and their MSM running dogs for the outright falsification concerning BHO2’s religious affiliation.
Maybe the Egyptians not the Muslim Brotherhood buddies of Oliar, are on to Oliar.
Texas Republican Sen.Ted Cruz blasted the Obama administrations policy toward Egypt in a scathing op-ed in Foreign Policy magazine, slamming the presidents stance on the Muslim Brotherhood one of the most stunning diplomatic failures in recent memory.
As the Egyptian military ends President Mohamed Morsis rule, Cruz points out that the ire of many people in the streets of Cairo is not reserved for the Muslim Brotherhood alone.
The people protesting in the streets were not only carrying anti-Morsi signs, Cruz writes. They were also carrying signs with slogans like Obama Supports Terrorism and Obama Supports Morsi, as well as pictures of the American ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, with a large red X through her face.
Below are some examples of the pictures and signs carried by the enemies of Herr Obozo, the Egyptian People in Cairo as noted by Ted Cruz. These photos will not appear in the MSM.
