My grandfather used to marvel at the fact that he was born before the Wright brothers flew at Kitty Hawk, and that he watched Neil Armstrong step foot on the moon within the same lifetime.

This is why I brought up the black triangles. Given the pace of our government’s classified technological developments, I can’t help but think that they’re real, and that they’re ours.

You, and everybody else, would give their eyeteeth to be able to walk through the most secret industrial, technological, and military labs to see the stuff they are working on. :)

Yeah, we would, but we'd also like to leave without an extra hole in our heads for having seen what we've seen :-)

My Father was born in July 1901. My mother in 1903.

Dad lived into his 80s, Mom into her 90s.

A lot of stuff happened in their lifetimes.

I was born in 1939.

What. No pictures of bug eyed space aliens with a half dozen heads
waving about on long stalks for necks, climbing in and out of flying
saucers. I feel sort of let down, :)

I think the 20th century brought more dramatic changes to our way of life than any other century.

My granddad once told me that when he was little, the kids would chase any car they saw, because it was a rare treat to actually see one in real life. By the time he retired, there were traffic jams all around him, every day.

I sometimes wonder if the 21st century will bring as many fundamental changes to our way of life, as the preceding century did. I think it will, if we can right the disastrous state of affairs in this country.

All you would have had to do was drive down to the nearest Home Depot early in the morning

If they have a secret base on the dark side of the moon it is buried under millions of socks and mountains of dryer lint.

This is nothing more than a diversion from what is really important! I guess they think that by confirming what we already know will take some of the heat off all the other scandals right now.

I think the 20th century brought more dramatic changes to our way of life than any other century.

Back in the '50s I worked in a print shop that had a little old lady in tennis shoes running one of the presses. She mentioned that her mother said had seen President Grover Cleveland. I asked her to ask her mom what was the greatest invention she had seen, figuring it was the automobile, the aeroplane, or the then-new television.

The next day she said, "You're not gonna believe this." It was the fact that people could go outside their house and turn on the hose to water the lawn. Her mom had grown up as a sod buster in Nebraska and said they used to pray to God for rain, and now you just had to turn the handle on a faucet.

“They’ve probably built some huge hangers on base so they can test everything in complete secrecy.”

Is there a runway at that site where the NSA is building its industrial park out west?
