Accidental photobomb leads to beating, 3 arrests in LoDo
Denver ABC ^ | 8/15/2013

Three people are facing charges after a man accidentally photobombed them and he was beaten into unconsciousness.

The charges stem from a May 11 incident in LoDo when the bars let out and the defendants were taking photographs of themselves near 14th and Market streets. The unidentified 30-year-old victim accidentally walked into one of the shots, police said, and one of the suspects, Bryanna Warren, 25 began arguing with him and hitting him.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim pushed Warren away and began walking away but was followed by Warren and Lindsye Newton, 25, as the argument escalated. Police said the victim pushed them both away and was then knocked unconscious by the third suspect, Terrell Moore, 27.

A police sergeant witnessed the blow to the victim's head, and said he tried to protect the victim on the ground from the growing crowd. At one point, the officer's attention was diverted and when he turned back, he said saw Newton hitting the unconscious man in the face with her purse.

Both Newton and Warren were charged with third-degree assault on an at-risk adult "for allegedly continuing to assault the victim while he was lying unconscious on the ground," according to a news release.

Police initially charged the trio with public fighting but a medical report said the victim sustained permanent blindness in his right eye, facial fractures and intra-cranial hemorrhaging. That's when the charges were upgraded.

Could this be one of the reasons the people in northern CO are trying to secede?

The "youths" brutally attacked this man right in front of a cop. THEY DIDN'T CARE. Police are not a deterrent. Courts are not a deterrent. Prison is not a deterrent. They don't care. I don't they would care if this man produced a firearm, unless he killed them on the spot and then woe to him for the Black grievance industry, the Corporate Media, and the Federal Leviathan would come down on his head like an anvil.

How can we live in a civilized country surrounded by such uncivilized people with the uncivilized are totally protected?

The poor guy got Trayvonned.

No, to be Trayvonned he would have had to assault one or more of his attackers first, and they would have had to act in self-defense.

Wrong. You are talking about getting Zimmermanned.

Keep it strait.

Martin Trayvonned George. George Zimmermaned Trayvon in response.

One of the proper responses to this mess is to refer to physical assault on a helpless person as “Trayvonning” make it ubiquitous, and part of the language. That way they are short circuited before they ever get to their ridiculous assertion that Trayvon was just a child, and the name Travon is associated with thuggery. as it should be. Make Trayvon synonymous with a beatdown

When I read the headline I had a good idea of what to expect. There are two groups that are perpetually in a state of rage, that attack innocent people, and that know they will get away with it. Since no heads were sawed off, I eliminated one of the groups.

If the perps had been ‘priviliged White males’ we would be told in the headline.

The cops wanted to just forget all about it, as they are told by corrupt racist administrations everywhere.

These are subhuman, feral, retarded savages.

I’m pretty sure Holder has hate crime and civil right violation charges ready to file against the perps, and Obama is giving a major speech about this tomorrow.

Did a quick search.

Third Degree Assault is defined as "knowingly or recklessly causing bodily injury to another person." (In rare cases, a different definition is used based on accidentally causing injury with a deadly weapon.) Notice that there has to be "injury" in order for the charge to be supported. However, pain, by itself, constitutes injury - even if there was no physical damage to the person assaulted. As shown in the table above, the maximum sentence for this type of assault is two years in the county jail.

They left a man permanently blind in one eye. They deserve jail time, and more than two years in my opinion. And they did this because he was probably buzzed and wandered into their photo...petty, hatefilled monsters, all three.

LoDo today is mostly a bar and club district. Closing time in Denver is 2:00 am, which is when all the bars unload the drunks onto the sidewalk. Police flood the area, but not even they can stop all the stupidity. You do not want to be in Lodo at 2:00 am.

For all those about to flame me, I know a law abiding citizen ought to be able to walk Lodo at 2:00 am. You ought to be able to walk across Central Park at 2:00 am too, but that doesn't make it a good idea.

The victim needs to sue the bitches, and sue the alleged legal authorities for these wussy charges.
