Torture and Murder in Tennessee – Why No Movement for These Innocents?
GulagBound ^ | August 18, 2013 | Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

I’ll tell you why… because they were white and Christian. It’s as plain as that. And they did not fit the racist meme of the left, who don’t care if two young Christians are tortured, raped and murdered in the most horrific crime I have ever seen in my lifetime — I mean, they aren’t black, so it’s not news. Well, it was news to me and their deaths cry out to be heard. I can’t believe I did not hear of this in 2007. Glenn Beck has highlighted the case and I am sure that was not easy for him. But it was the right thing to do.

While the Progressives are hyping the Trayvon Martin case, praying for riots and chaos in the streets to further their communist agenda, Oprah Winfrey, along with Al Sharpton and Barack Obama, is out race hustling and sounding more and more like the Reverend Jeremiah Wright every day. She should be ashamed and it should be obvious to everyone out there that she used that innocent shop girl in Switzerland to cry ‘racism’ and promote her movie The Butler (an obscenity to be widely avoided, not only because of her racist huckstering, but also … Jane Fonda plays Nancy Reagan!??). Comparing the murder of Trayvon Martin to Emmett Till is a travesty. But comparing the murders of these two young white kids to Emmett Till is right on the mark.

Let me tell you about Channon Christian and Chris Newsom, Jr. Warning: this is disturbing and will haunt most people as it does me.

If only we would give up our guns and let the ObaMarxists 'take care' of us.

Life would be so lovely.

Not very well informed, is she?

“Why No Movement for These Innocents?”

This crime was obviously disgusting. There is no movement because those who committed the crime have been caught and are either in the process of being punished or have been punished already, not because they are white and Christian.

We can’t undo the crime. What kind of movement would you like?

It's been called the Knoxville Horror. The author of the article, Nicholas Stix, has followed the case from the beginning.

One of the worst cases of media malpractice. It was an organized suppression of reporting this heinous race crime of blacks raping, torturing and killing whites.

Even the documentary that is on the linked site is flawed. It tries to give the impression that the victims were from a “well to do" family. They try to portray the crimes as being a crime of circumstance and not racially motivated.

This level of torture and barbarous activity is typical of what the white unarmed farmers in South Africa face everyday; rape and torture. The favorite activity is to place tires filled with gas or diesel over the victim and burn them alive.

We can not give up an inch on our second amendment rights. Otherwise we will always have to live in fear of these predators.

The “movement” would be for equitable news reporting. If a group of whites had tortured and murdered a young black couple, and even if the perps got the death penalty, EVERYONE ACROSS AMERICA WOULD KNOW THE VICTIMS’ NAMES. It is the bias in REPORTING that needs to be addressed. Instead, the national media blows up every white on black crime it can find and leaves the audience to believe that there’s lots of white on black murder but not so much black on white.

Movement against media bias when reporting white on black vs black on white crime(which is downplayed).

For the record: Trayvon Martin was not murdered. He was shot and killed in an act of lawful self defense, and a Florida jury found the defender, Mr.Zimmerman, not guilty of the alleged criminal act pertaining thereto..

What punish will they receive that will be fitting for their crime? Yeah, maybe they’ll do a few years.

This evil happened just 80 miles north of me...

I knew about it at the time..

It was never any secret...

We have threads in FR about it from that time..

White women made Oprah successful. Yet she screams “racism”. These people are turning people into racists. Sadly, the actions of a few are hurting millions.

If blacks weren’t armed they wouldn’t be killing themselves and others. But the constitution gives them the right to bear arms. We do not want the government taking away our guns. But we know the thugs will always be able to get them. What is the solution?

Since leaving west Tennessee and the USSA over eight years ago, I do not think I have seen more then a dozen Afros.
By the way, my grandmother, who was from Atlanta, referred
to black people as “nigras”. They had a nigra man who was the housekeeper.

The solution is to make the consequences for committing this type crime so severe that even a dim-witted thug will think long & hard about doing anything like this.

Tanking away their guns will not stop the killing.

Yep and 20 miles south of me. The murder due to it's unusual brutality was national news. The initial trials were held and convictions given by juries. What made less national news was the judicial misconduct scandals. That caused a lot of mistrust of the judicial system among locals and well deserved outrage on several levels.

There is a war out there of black men on white women. White men should be able to handle themselves or learn how to. They are stupid and criminal if they don’t

From the link:

Vanessa Lynn Coleman was not convicted in the murder of Chris Newsom. She is serving a sentence of 35 years, but will be eligible for parole in mid-2017 after being convicted of “anal rape” and the “facilitation of murder” and “kidnapping.”

George Thomas was tried and retried and in June 2013 his attorneys have asked for “either a new sentence or a new sentencing hearing.” He is sentenced to back-to-back life sentences with no parole for the murders of Ms. Christian and Mr. Newsom and 25 years on rape counts. Thirty-eight charges. Thomas was found guilty of all 38 and he was granted a retrial, which you and I paid for and his attorney is wrangling for more from We the People. I believe he will be eligible for parole at the age 75.

Lamariacus Davidson received the death penalty. Apparently Holder hasn’t had a chance to vacate that sentence.

Letalvis Cobbins (Davidson’s step brother) – sentenced to life without parole.

Eric Boyd is serving an 18 year sentence. Boyd was convicted of being an accessory to a fatal carjacking, concealing the crime from law enforcement and hiding Lemariacus Davidson after the crime. He is still considered a suspect in the murders.

I'm sure we would all prefer it if they had all been executed already, but that's not the system we have right now, regardless of skin color.

“Movement against media bias when reporting white on black vs black on white crime(which is downplayed).”

That would be a worthwhile cause, but citing a single case from 5 years ago probably isn’t the way to go (no matter how gruesome it was.)

I don't know if Beck said anything about secrecy, but here's what the article I cited had to say along those lines:

The Media, Round I

In January and February, the Knoxville media reported extensively on the case, but did not discuss the racial angle. The national Mainstream Media (MSM) ignored the case altogether. The Knoxville Police Department and Knox County District Attorney General's office stonewalled.

But the Internet was abuzz with outrage. Articles from the Knoxville media were posted and discussed at conservative message boards here, here, and here, and blogs. With rare exceptions, (see here and here), leftist bloggers ignored it.

One of those here's was FR.

How does that compare with what you observed in the media at the time?

Emmett Till was decades ago but still cited today. An awful crime SHOULD be burned in peoples’ memories. But it can’t be unless it is reported.
