Saudi Arabia on Sunday warned the West against putting pressure on Egypt's military-backed government to halt a crackdown on supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

"We will not achieve anything through threats," Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal, told reporters through an interpreter during a visit to Paris.

The Saudi official made his comments after meeting French President Francois Hollande, who on Thursday called for a swift end to a state of emergency imposed by Egypt's military authorities.

I would not try to pull the rug from under the Egyptian military. I want them to bring the brotherhood down to size. I would not want the MB to control a large segment of the governments of the middle east. That would definitely turn against US, and against all democratic, free countries with a muslim minority. If the MB takes over a large part of the middle east, we may end up having to fight them.

There is a law on the books that
says we cut off any aid to ANY
Country that undergoes a coup.
Ted Cruz and Rand Paul support
The rule of law. Obama and apparently
A lot of Freepers think laws that
are not wanted can be ignored. If
the US wants to support the military
congress and the Preident should
change it.

Paul made the statement about tanks running over nonviolent protestors. That shows his head is up his *** and he’s sucking in the MSM/fedgov/MB propaganda. Or maybe he just likes radical Moslems, like his father. And if Cruz thinks the same way, he’s just as wilfully ignorant as Paul. Senators or Congressmen should make it their business to know the facts. Neither of them do.

It wasn’t a military coup, and anyone who thinks so, knows nothing. Nothing but the MSM/fedgov/Moslem Brotherhood propaganda swill.

The facts have been posted on the Live Egypt thread since the beginning of the uprising. Freepers have no excuse for ignorance about this.

Rand Paul’s immigration speech

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

[but he’s not against amnesty, snicker, definition of is is ping]

Saudis pressuring the US, not surprised. Is there anyone we can pressure other than Israel? Not important, the Saudis probably have it right.
