To understand the failure of public education in this country, one must first understand that the entire system is designed for the benefit of the adults who work in it. Union dues from people working in the system are funneled into lobbying and campaign contributions to the very legislators setting the rules of the system. As a result, the entire political system is biased against reform of public education.
Sometimes, however, the need for reform is so manifest that even these local obstacles can be overcome. Under the Obama Administration, however, opponents of reform have the ultimate "trump card." The Feds. Late this week, the Department of Justice filed a federal suit against Louisiana's school choice law. Eric Holder's office argues that allowing kids in failing public schools to attend better-performing private schools would work against its "goal" of achieving the proper racial balance in schools.
Your education may suck, in other words, but at least you are in a school with the "right" racial balance.
Louisiana passed a modest school choice, or voucher, law, a couple years ago. If a child was low-income and attended a school that graded a C or less, the student could attend a private school, with a portion of the tuition covered by the taxpayer-funded education subsidy. The state's program isn't as expansive as those in place in Holland and Sweden, but it begins to establish that the public's commitment was to educating a child, not to a particular system.

the more undereducated kids the more immigrants we can have to fill jobs. simple.
I’d bet that the worst Catholic School is better than the best public school. And they do it with less money too!
I would never send a child to the indoctrination centers called public schools.
DOJ doesn’t want Black kids getting an actual education. No, in Louisiana, it’s go right from a crime-ridden, Stalinist-sausage and racial grievance factory straight to Angola.
In this case the left exploits race to protect its Rice bowl. As the author pointed out, the teachers unions take taxpayers' money and consign a portion of it, without the consent of those who earned it, to Democrat politicians' reelection campaigns. These politicians vote favorable contracts to the teachers unions at the expense of the taxpayers whose trust both parties have betrayed. To derail reform of this money laundering scheme, the left invokes racist politics.
If it is more important to fill quotas to achieve racial balance in the primary schools rather than advance actual education, why is it legal for public universities and tax supported private universities which are, after all, places of public accommodation to segregate their dorms and even segregate their lunch counters?
Second question, why is it constitutional to have a voucher system funded by the government for undergraduate schooling but not for primary and secondary schooling, also funded by the government?
Third question, why does the government go to court to prevent black students from leaving government education indoctrination centers to attend private primary and secondary schools and decline to sue to stop colleges from preferring black applicants over white applicants of superior qualifications?
The simplest way to improve shools would be to have two school systems. One for those who want to learn and another for those who just need a place to be babysat for the day, want to misbehave, and kill their time instead of learning.
But we all know what that would lead to, and the government cannot have that.

YOU AND EVERY LAST CONSERVATIVE RICH PERSON WITH A BRAIN EXTANT....
It's time for black men and women who still give a damn to tell this racebaiting mulatto pimp maquerading as a president, who also happens to be masquerading as black, whose charade has so devastated the entire economic health and wellbeing of his "chosen" people, to choose someone else as political cannon fodder like maybe his muslim scum buddies instead of their children.
It's time for black people with a conscience to recover the dignity this false black man has stolen from them by dishonoring them ALL for his own selfish gain, by telling him to take the fastest elevator straight to hell. Then find your OWN leaders, not the ones who have been appointed for you to hold you down, chain you up, and destroy you for THEIR own selfish gain.
DO IT NOW.
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise. Thanks.
and as an aside don’t forget...... the group of professionals that most often sends their own children to private schools is.......TEACHERS!
the more undereducated kids the more government dependency and low information voters
And elected officials, especially the ones that wish to keep the most at-risk youth in these hellholes.
Black people in this country don’t have leaders. They have overseers and they don’t even realize they have been re-enslaved by the democrat party which will do anything to hold them prisoner.
Can’t just let them waltz off the democrat plantation and go someplace where they will be taught to think and their little heads will get pumped full of truth and facts.

The Federal Takeover of Education
As a penalty, states that failed to adopt the Common Core risked losing funding from Title I, a $14.4 billion program that provides funds for low-income students. Most school districts participate in the Title I program.
This penalty was announced in a White House press release issued on February 22, 2010. It stated that new polices from the Obama Administration would require all states to adopt and certify that they have college- and career-ready standards in reading and mathematics, which may include common standards developed by a state-led consortium, as a condition of qualifying for Title I funding.
Public discussion about the Common Core has been severely limited because of the rush to establish national education standards and the lack of transparency in the procedures involved.
Alabama State Board of Education member Betty Peters said, It is most unfortunate that the American public has been left out of the most drastic change ever in public education; even most school board members have been kept in the dark when it comes to details.
Are Americans being bypassed once again by this administration? Remember when the health care reform bill and financial reform bill were rushed through Congress before anyone could learn what was in them? Remember when U.S. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said, But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy?
A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
A very true statement and one that certainly applies to our “hate whitey” and “hate self-advancement” society in our educational system today.
Racial balance huh? Throwing animals into the classroom who have absolutely no intention in improving themselves for a later productive life simply because they know that the government will take care of their needs just like mommy and daddy...if they knew who he was.
It is no wonder the graduates of today’s public education system are far below both the moral and intellectual standards of the 1950’s.
Their lives will end up by being controlled by the government in every aspect of their lives ranging from what they eat to who they will date along with what religion they will adhere to.
It’s a sad day in America when racial balance trumps educational excellence!
The first graph of the article nails it.
Last week it was Texas and voter ID, this week it is Louisiana and school vouchers. There is a real war against state rights and especially red states.

The acronyms for Americas New World Order education are mind-numbing all the better to keep you from connecting who is connected to who/whom/which. First, I have found one source that connects Common Core Initiative Standards (CCIS) to Connect All Schools, and that is on the Connect All Schools website page titled One World Education (OWE).
