Everyone continues to describe this as a “senseless” killing. The victim’s great-nephew insists it was not about race. And, the Chris Lane killing was a “thrill kill” by “bored teens.” It all has a erie familiar feel to it...1939...the Jews being marched to the gas chambers kept believing it wasn’t about being a Jew; never believed their own country would do such a thing to them. All just a mistake...as they stood naked in the “shower rooms” of Auschwitz. Right up to the end, refusing to believe such evil could exist in the world.

My sentiments exactly. When I mention some of the things on the left's agenda and the likely consequences, a couple of my overly intelligent (so smart they believe all the touchy feely leftist memes and the badness of this country etc.) they tell me in so many words that i am pretty out of it and not nearly as smart or compassionate as they.
