Everyone continues to describe this as a “senseless” killing. The victim’s great-nephew insists it was not about race. And, the Chris Lane killing was a “thrill kill” by “bored teens.” It all has a erie familiar feel to it...1939...the Jews being marched to the gas chambers kept believing it wasn’t about being a Jew; never believed their own country would do such a thing to them.
